A lot of what Tok'ra said and did in the past was for genuine reasons - and I respect him for that, and he has been banned a number of times (and, at times, for the weakest of reasons). However, I do agree that there are certain ways to go about things - and spamming your opinion continuously and creating new threads to do it is not one of them.

Having said that - having alway done my best to be unbiased and do things by the book when I was an Admin (even if it meant upsetting the other Admins/Mods) got me nothing other than having my Adminship removed from me and demoted to a Mod (whereupon I quit my modding duties).

So, it seems whether you do things by the book or not, someone is always out there to shaft you!

As for Tok'ra

I believe he shouldn't be banned. Ppl can't deal with him having dirt on them. That, and like I told Forum, I honestly believe I can do a WAY better job then most of the people on staff here. I'm drop dead serious. I've even got plans thought out on what to do to bring this forum back to life, and re-attach the forum to the game; meaning if you like the forums chances are you like the game a bit more.

I'm not even kidding, Forum, set me up an account where I can start reigning peace and love onto the forums. I've done the Admin deed before, I'll do it again. I don't get fired from mod jobs either. I quit after extended periods of time (we're talking a year or two here).

So yeah.

Mystake honestly you have NO idea what it takes to be a mod on this forum, as proved by your comments in this thread. Part of me would like to see you try it in fact, just so i can be there for an "i told you so" when you crash and burn in spectacular style.

I'm lucky, i mod quantum forum and there is rarely anything i have to do as there isn't too many posters who use the board and those who do don't break the rules very often, if at all, but i wouldn't even contemplate modding one of the more robust boards, i don't have the time nor the desire to trawl through all the sewage on those boards.

None of us get paid, we give up our time for the community and most of the time some idiot like Tok'Ra will start picking away at us until we get so fed up with it that rage takes over and something stupid ends up being posted or done, then we have to put up with 6 months of whines about that one time we messed up due to being provoked constantly. And of course lets not forget that if we get fed up with the "job" and stop doing it the board/s go to hell in 2 days, so we're damned if we do anything and damned if we don't.

Lets not forget the massings mods take in game for just trying to do the right thing on the forums.

If you really think Tok'Ra is such a great guy then feel free to make your own forum where the 2 of you can whine about how us SGW mods suck so much, but don't for a moment think you can come to the official boards and whine about the staff decisions over and over again without something being done to stop you.

It's very simple, you follow the rules and there are no problems, but if you don't or you think it's your God given right to constantly insult the forum staff and/or Game Admins, bye-bye to your posting rights, and good riddence to bad rubbish.

Looks like ppl forget the fact that Tokra was already permbanned from the forums. He came around his ban and that alone would have been enough to ban him again. And there you have another whole reason (Forum's post).

And everyone knows Wolf359 knows that he always did the RIGHT thing. All the new generation of players after Wolf's time are what the forums are today.

@ REK - Mate it's been politics since the time when ETL was in charge, I wasn't here before he was so maybe it might have been sooner. But what I have found playing other games is that eventually everything is about politics. Just like real life!

@ Jedi - Mate yeah I know I didn't have to read his posts on here, most of the time I knew they where Spam anyway. But yeah, Tok'ra was exposing corrupt moderators. The real reason most people quit where cos of the way the mods where and Wolf's post just really says it all. The way the mods where acting/are acting actually reflect on the community cos "they are the government/law".

Yeah Tok'ra's metheod's where a little bit out there but believe me I have seen much worse. And I know Forum is having a hard time listening to his crybaby mods/admins complain to him all the time complaining becuase everybody hates them and replaces them with someone who is less of a whiner it would improve the community. As far as I am concerned if a mod complains about his job, he should quit/get fired on the spot. If you can't do your job that you wanted to do quit!!

All I see most mods complaining about on here is cos they can't do whatever they like and abuse their power!! And when one person has dirt on them when they are able to abuse their power they string him up

@ Borek - You said yourself your an inexperienced mod, modding a small section where hardly anyone posts. Meanwhile Mystake has been an admin of a few forums. I think he knows (if he a. made mistakes and b. learned from them or c. learnt from other peoples mistakes) a small bit better then you. And yeah we all know that none of you get paid, but then why did you want to be a mod? You ALL knew what the forums are like when you signed up for the job.

@ Bazsy - yeah Tok'ra was permabanned, and a lot of people don't like him, and of course a lot of mods don't like him. But of course everything is public perception. I actually like him, becuase oh I don't know I actually talk to him. Yeah sometimes he can be a little bit much but I talk to him, and I like talking to him. However permabanning someone who plays and contributes to this game and then denying him any sort of voice is just a bit unfair. I mean he had a whole rule created just for him cos of what he had to say!! Then when the rules where taken away the mods/former mods started complaing about it! Just goes to show that they are 100% TOTALLY biased against him. If anyone wants to see Tok'ra's posts on another forum that I and my mod team run, you will see a completely different person.. Why?? Reason is cos no one is biased against him there, and if he steps out of line he is warned but they aren't for the stupid pointless reasons that are seen everyday here.
