Had a thought regarding losses in battle, what about if we included a new type of unit 'Field Medics', they work the same in principle as spys/antispys, be it that you train them and have levels associated with them. The levels cost the same as covert/anticovert, and the units cost say 4,500 Naq to train.
There purpose is to reduce the losses in battle, efficiency of this is from the level + number of medics you have.
- If you are getting attacked, the medics are there because they are at 'home'
- If you are attacking, the medics are there because they are field medics, so only 1 type of medic needed.
- There's a limit to how many soldiers/mercs 1 Medic can handle, let's say 100. So if you had 2mil trained attackers and 3mil trained defenders, you'd take the max (i.e. 3mil) and divide by 100, meaning if had 30000 medics they could handle this att/def force. Obviously if you had 60000 it would make the medics lifes easier and further reduce casualties (because they'd only have 50 guys to keep an eye on).
The battle loss currently i think stands at 2.5%, this would be reduced by the number of medics + their level, but never reach 0.

Pretty much every update one could come up with would benefit the bigger players more than the smaller ones, but that doesn't mean the idea is to be thrown away.
As for the idea itself, I assume it might have been sparked by something similar (but without the units) from Chaos
A minor problem that introducing new unit types could cause would be to make it somewhat harder for new people to learn how to play... on second thought, let's get rid of untrained mercs, that should do it

Gone, left, no longer here.

99% of updates will help big players, and i dont play Chaos nor heard anything about it, so wouldnt know if it works there
and it's only 1 type of new unit, new people wouldnt know what anything is anyway before asking / reading so what's one more paragraph to read?

This will reduce the amount of war and civilian casualities and deaths you have. It affects both army and civilian populations.

only seems fair enough, a very small chance of dying, since 'accidents' do happen and medics/civilians/hospitals etc do get hit in war time.

Pef wrote:nothing wrong with this ideea .. only u would want a better relation between
the unit and its price ..
maybe
4500 naq for 1 nurse
45000 naq for 1 paramedic
450000 naq for 1 brain surgeon
45000000 naq for 1 Bionic medical robot
and some equipment as well:
first aid kit 3000 naq
laser scapel 30000 naq
mobile medical van 300000 naq
Helivac 3000000 naq
Mobile medical carrier 30000000 naq
the cost should be somewhat higher as u have less need for numbers and more for quality.
dont think there's a need to overcomplicate it, one type of unit (price undetermind) and level (price undeterminded (same price as over levels, spy etc)) reduces the losses in battle, reduced further by more units + higher levels.
Got the support of a mod but we need more support if you want to see this implemeneted guys.
