Logging onto/playing sgw through a proxy.

Not entirely sure if this is the right place for it, but anyway I've got home to uni and for some reason I can't access any sgw or sgw related stuff from my computer(forums, ascended etc), I think its something to do with the IP because both mums old pc and my laptop wont work. I keep getting the page not there thing come up... Anywho, I've tried using a proxy to log in, however when I do, it comes up with the page that says could not determine your refferer or such 90% of the time, and the other 10% lets me into sgw for some bizzare reason. Once I'm in the game I'm unable to do anything that concerns when you click a button and it turns unclickable... like attacking or raiding, I can only use the quick attack buttons, real pain in the neck. Does anyone have any idea which proxy I should use/how I should be using the proxy when using sgw? I've been using both firefox and ie and they both appear to be doing the same thing.

Alot of online games have started blocking people from viewing/playing their games through a proxy because if someone is running multiple accounts, a proxy helps them accomplish that (and avoids the auto-checks ingame I think). It sucks for the few people who legitimately need a proxy, but it prevents a whole lot of illegitimate countries from being played as easily.

Yeap, as once said to me by Adminmark re Shared IPs "Due to the cheating by a few the whole are restricted.", although he did grant me a shared/multiple IP, not that this will help you with proxies Gordash. Although could be wise to drop him an email and ask him about making a proxy exception for you, although you will need to provide info/proof/details about WHY you need a proxy etc.

And yes Proxys can help avoid auto-checks.

I've just tried a couple of proxys and managed to access SGW okay.

So just some info on the matter for you.
