Probably a stupid question...

Probably a stupid question but

I just looked at ETL, over 75million (over 100million) armysive, and he just just ascended (Elder Ancient God). #-o

I thought that you would only be able to get back to 75mil after ascension (raid of someone/broker UU back).

The only other explanation (that i can think of) is that ETL has 100+ million lifers, which seems rather stupid...

Re: Probably a stupid question...

Theres still a broker bug that allows you to get your UU back.

From what i know, Forum knows it exists, dosnt like it, but realises it would be unfair to remove it at the moment.

Re: Probably a stupid question...

Admin was told of this bug during the first admin chat today. I emphasized it later on in the second one. I made it clear that it existed and that to remove it now would present a disadvantage to those who are over the 75 mil limit and planning to ascended compared to those who have already used it. I gave an idea that would make the broker manipulation not needed, but he is still debating upon the best course of action to take. Until then though he will not remove the 'bug' or 'broker trick' because it wouldn't be fair.

Isn't that the case with all "bugs" though?

Most people go on using them, sometimes unaware that what they were doing was ever a bug, but in the end, it gets stopped as it was never meant to be implemented that way.

2 "bugs" come to mind. Training bug, many many moons ago, which everyone was able to use, but only a hand full found it and were using it to their advantage. And then more recently, a planet bug, which many people used, but one group decided to use on a larger scale to wipe out a seemingly unbeatable player. The bugs all were fixed up, even though it was unfair for those who didn't take advantage.

If the game admin is aware that it's actually a bug, and people are still going out of their way to exploit it, knowing full well it was never the intention of the creator to have the function, then they should be faced with whatever punishment former bug exploiters were privy to.

It's not a matter of luck; it's just a matter of time.

Of course, only this time its completly different. I mean, they used it on Omega, so it was wrong, but when ETL uses it...

Re: Probably a stupid question...

To be fair, it isn't just ETL who has used it by a long shot. In the last few days I can name about a dozen who have, from all alliances. Given the word of admin, if by the end of the week it is still there, and/or there is no better way, I will probably use it aswell.

And when the topic was talked about during chat no names were brought up, so please don't call favoritism anyone. It is is just admin attempting to find a fair solution.

Re: Probably a stupid question...

it is indeed a bug, and I've been privately reporting it to the admin team...

save your breath munchy and goodie, both your statements are falling on deaf ears b/c no one really cares, especially not admin these days.

Re: Probably a stupid question...

Except for the fact admin said it himself that it will remain and be avaliable for use until he can think of something to allow people over 75 to ascend again without loseing a crap load of UU.
