well as their new album just came out (which i picked up yesterday with the orchestral disk too ) i really like it. ive come to terms with the previous singer being kicked out, it has lost some of its opera feel due to this, but theyre still a rad band


and the new singer is better looking (less of a forehead )

true, they have few good songs, but nothing else. There is a lot of better bands than nightwish. One of them is theatre des vampires(italian gothic metal band) or Paradise lost(one of the founders of gothic metal). Nightwish are special only because of their lead singer, so I dont think they're so good. But afterall this is just my personal opinion so dont flame me for that.

it is less opera-eee because of the change of lead singer that happened 2 years ago to someone different mostly.

yeah im not a massive fan of gothic metal (im more into thrash myself) but nightwish are kinda differnt (kinda poppy ) i like their symphonics though
