It's sad to see such experienced and impartial mods leaving. We will definately have to chat more before November 1 Rienna.

it is on the level of pain to see so many good mods leave...

a few small facts...

the new admins wont be all powerful... some other mods could have become admin and such, but simply do not want to, or feel they lack the ability/time to be admin... this mod is one of those that neither have time nor abilitly to admin...

it is a hard thing to find both able, willing and good admins for a forum... you can be certain that Admin/Jason knows that...

also, freespirit may have made mistakes, but he made them after the forum had, for a while, become a hell to look at...


things are now being planned, to be implemented on the november 1 change, that will make the mod team more human, less split off from the rest...

believe it, quite a few mods dont like the way they had to have secrets from the community... in the future, mods and regular users need to work more together...

any questions or such, can be posted here, or sent in PM... all those, barring that they are reasonable, and not asking for information not cleared to be released by the powers higher, will be answered...

Perhaps the mods wish to discuss these changes within the mod section then, instead of in IRC in meetings only some mods could make. Because to the mods that couldn't attend these meetings, it looked as if the current state of affairs were being overlooked and ignored. Hell. Some mods still don't even know what "the current state of affairs" even fully entail.

I am really sad to see u leave Rienna, i was hoping in learning a lot from u about the modding business, i havent really known u, but for what ive seen, u leaving is a great loss for the entire forum

i dont know about which post ur talking about in the supermod section, maybe cause im not a supermod but if u disagree with something, i dont believe quitting is the answer, since the changes will only begin on Nov 1st, so we all have until then to work out the best way to make such changes (maybe u can even convince pookie to stay ) or give better ideas or talk to jason, something, but quiting is really not the answer in my point of view, but hell, im new in the modding team here so what do u know anyway

i know there have been mistakes from the mod team, well, everyone does mistakes once and a while, but even if those mistakes have been happening constantly a while ago, i do believe the community (or most of it) is against any change, most ppl just say that they disagree, there is something wrong, but they do not give a healthy suggestion on how to change that, in most ppl minds, they dont even know what they are against, but still they are, cause it is human nature (especially in the younger generations) to be against any type of "power in place", for me the supposedly "power in place" in question, the mod team/forum admin exists only to do a job for the community, not has cops or a big brother type, but more has a cleaning crew since in an ideal forum, mods wouldnt even be necessary, but in a community big and diverse has the one we have, they are unfortunately

Rienna, Ive always known you are one of the 'good ones' here. And im glad you have left the Mod Team.

Regarding FS, if you think having ridiculous multie forum accounts is the way for a Supermod to go about his business, then you are very mistaken. Im not saying you are a bad mod, but you acted out of line with those accounts, and YOU made a mistake.

FreeSpirit is a decent guy, and it's a good thing that he's willing to accept he's made mistakes... but I really don't think he should have been promoted after behaving the way he did. What sort of message does that give out?

the message, in this ones eyes, is that Jason/Forum believes he is trustworthy, as the one making all the final decisions on promotions was, to this ones knowledge Forum himself...

as freespirit said, he had a breakdown that caused him to do what he did... and one of the greatest reasons for that breakdown, was the attitude and behavior of some on the forum around that time...

So your saying its all our fault that Free Spirit had a 'Break Down' ? Dont make me laught, Free Spirit is all there, and he knew what he was doing. He saw the big red button infront of him and he pressed it.

FreeSpirit an admin? No mod has ever been violating more rules than him. No mod has ever been behaving as disrespectful towards forum users like he has.

Somehow I don't think giving the control over the forums to someone who is smoking weed all day and who makes one mistake after another is a good idea.

I'm sorry, but if someone can't handle the legitimate criticisms and complaints of forum users without having a 'breakdown' then should that person really be an admin?
