JFK might have been bluffing, but had war broken out things were already in the MAD stage (MAD=MutuallyAssuredDestruction). being ready for war is pointless when you and the enemy will wipe one another from the planet before troops can be deployed. Anyway, it's the fact that he was willing to at least bluff that says something.

But I will give you the Bay of Pigs debacle....

the problem is the d***cracy. it requires ppl to be political and have some opinion. since most of them are political/economical/legal morons their votings are mostly stupid. that's why the world is crap. and under democracy it'll become even worse.
the only situation when it can become better is when worse is no longer possible.

To be honest the very fact he is a politician makes him the Devil's spawn, I am by no means political and don't plan to be, ever

I think he was just messing around, if he really believes that it is foolish but I took it as a joke Once you join the Democrats you too will see that we are infallible, and borderline holy.

Corran I'm not a big fan of the democratic process, and would much prefer to have a some kind of government where intelligent people rule (some kind of meritocracy or oligarchy).
