I noticed quite a few people have "transparent" images, but infact, a lot of them seem to have a white background.
This happens with certain PNG files and is browser related.

nice logo you posted... couldnt agree more with it...

"Great holy armies shall be gathered and trained to fight all who embrace evil. In the name of the gods, Browsers shall be changed to carry the internet out amongst the peoples and we will spread Firefox to all the unbelievers. The power of the Firefox will be felt far and wide and the wicked users of IE shall be converted to use the true browsers."

Well. it doesnt matter that they are PNG files apparently, with the right updates the image will look the same in IE and FF as well as others.
Though I noticed that the GIF images with correct layer and transparency settings will more work reliable when it comes to cross browser transparency effects.
Yea Lucky Starr, IE indeed ^_^

I prefer Camino for Macs. Not that any mac-based browser I've used has ever had a problem displaying images of any file-type... its just everything else that it has a problem with.

With the right approach one wouldnt see the difference.

Ghehe .... the mac's nice, but I still prefer a standard pc with windows anyday though.

But that would require more work, plus I save copies of everything, GiFs are bigger then PNGs
Indeed a bit more work, but garuanteed to work better and more reliable then PNG's. The size diff is only severel 10's of kb's.
Macs are for Gates haters
IE users are nto just evil ... they are lazy too
For windows, a simple fact remains, the IE browsers loads quickest

Re: Transparency in forum sigs/avs
the old IE was a security hole mix
the new IE is 99% plagiarized
opera and firefox, are both (to our knowledge) good browsers, with many of the same good parts (not sure which was first with what...)

Re: Transparency in forum sigs/avs
quite possible that that would make a quite good browser then...
but still:

In the name of the gods, Browsers shall be changed to carry the internet out amongst the peoples and we will spread Firefox&Opera to all the unbelievers. The power of the firefox&Opera will be felt far and wide and the wicked users of IE shall be converted to use the true browser."
