looks good.
i second some sort of action along these lines.
Tok'ra does have a valid point in that something does need to be done
Restructure the fourms to make mroe sense.

The KEY thing is to streamline stuff.
The less used a section is, more likley it is to becoem as subfourm or get merged.
If a section is used a lot, but has a lot of sections (market) make them all subfourms, just an extra click, AND less space on the main page.
ding ding!
we has a winrar!
exactly
putting things into subforums also makes things easier to find about certain topics
like look at main
at the moment its a jumble of anything related to the game. ie, a mix of ingame related stuff and community related stuff.
just slap a few sub forums in, and bam! much easier for people who just want to talk about ingame stuff or just want to talk about community stuff

Re: Restructure the fourms to make mroe sense.
Yea, as I said on MSN, this is something I have put some thought into. There needs to be balance and compromise to make sure there are still adequate forums but not so many that people become confused as to where they should post. There are also a lot of heavily underutilised forums that could be merged. But one step at a time.
Indu and proud of it!!

And thats the userside problem, people have issues with agreing with people they dislike.
Ideas are ideas, period. Treat them for what they are, not who posts them.
lol..do not spout wisdom at me..especially after I have already done it
I dont think the spam temple should go in the main area though, I think you should keep it in misc. If anything, id say put recruiting forums in the general area.
Then put the mods sections with the game and forum suggestions (and discussions of update threads) Game updates in one forum. With sub forums for each game, Quantum, Ascended, Chaos and main.
Then have a middle set of forums for the races, but have a sub forum in each. So lets say, you have the goauld forums. You would have Quantum, and main in the same area, both with separate sub forums.
Then have chaos. (General and it's races)
Then have Ascended. I would say take ascended suggestions and updates out, let them go with the normal game updates.
Then Have the market area as it is.
and finally misc. In there have what is there now. (Minus the recruitment forums.) Also have character histories etc in here.
Shove all the archive threads to the bottom in a locked forum, but dont put them in separate parts, keep them all in the same forum.
Then you would have 7 overall sections, and it wouldnt be massively different to what it is now, meaning navigating wouldnt be awful, and there is a clean up.

Re: Restructure the fourms to make mroe sense.
tok'ra, does the subforum thing support subforums on a subforum?
if not, then neither ascended nor chaos can be merged into a single section... (they both have subsections...)
chaos is also not practical to split those sections again...
also, does it matter to you where the mod sections are?
as a mod, it is actually in our opinion better to have them as is...

There isn't much a use of the comic and newsletter sections anymore, they should be deleted.

*chuckles* that would be deleting our history.
how about moving them to the archives section instead?

newsletter is already there, and comics is a subsection to misc... just not an active subsection...

Re: Restructure the fourms to make mroe sense.
Well what I meant was moving all the posts into the library or what ever that section is called then deleting the sections. Since neither are used.
