Sounds like a wonderful idea. Maybe make it so you either A) activate beacon, or B) activate booby trap.

I just posted in the bugs section, but people can still take planets and run to perg and you cannot retake.

a booby trap destroying and entire MS ?

how about this - it doesnt destroy the MS it blows up when in the persons orbit - thus dislodging one of their other planets. This would make big guys think twice as lets face it, who is going to want to steal another with that risk.

or have it simply destroy some of the resources on on their surrounding planets.

yeah, but, once a booby trap is added to a planet

that planet no-longer generates a bonus for the holder, or everyone wud just booby trap all their planets, which is a bit poo :P

A boobie trapped planet no longer gives any bonuses, and the anmount of naq put into the boobie trap = the amount of damage to the MS. first estroying weapons and sheilds, then fleets, and finally weapon/sheild capasities.

Perfect plan REK.

Oh and the planet is undetectable as being trapped, no spying to see it, you see the type and stat that it was when trapped.

You need to be 100% certain, though, that it does not effect planets found by the MS-search function...
Otherwise you end up with a whole bunch of RANDOM people having their MS reduced to its capacities and nothing else when people abandon booby-trapped planets!

you cannot remove its stats though, otherwise people will not take it.

you should have it so high stats low def to attract interest.

btw what happens if you recover it? does your ms go bye bye aswell ?

I don't think it should destroy the MS just do a set amount of damage. So if you have a weak MS you get crushed, if you have a large one you take significant damage.
Make cost expensive so everybody won't throw 10 self destructs on on the first go its allowed. Or maybe make it a MT trade, your allowed a certain amount like Merlin points...which by the way is available to save planets from being stolen.

you can't have everyone with 10 unstealable planets, and even if you use the planets as sab weapons by having people steal them, the cost of the naq to build it up enough to be desirable won't be worth it.
