miner/lifer ascention efficiency?

Since I haven't ascended yet I'm trying to anticipate what's going to happen. Of course I've read the faqs and guides that rule 16 allows me to.

I have a theory...

So I lose my miners but not my lifers on ascention. I know (I think) that the miners get converted into something or other on ascention. BUT...

If I spent some time and a few million repeatedly untraining and retraining miners (thereby turning them into lifers) they'll come with me, right?

I suppose what I am asking is which of "ascending with a lot of lifers", or "allow my miners to be absorbed while ascending", is more efficient/worthwhile? Or is it pretty much equally balanced?

Or indeed neither? Give them out to an ascention buddy and hope he's enough of a buddy to give them back afterwards? Which is the most efficient of the three options?

When ascending, miners are counted (or at least they were last time I checked) as UU.
And sending/brokering them to someone you can trust (after you've untrained them) is, I think, the best option. Untrained units (and miners) do get converted to APP (ascension power points), but, on other hand, it's better to have the UU on Main. Besides, if you want to have more APP, you're better off working on your UP.

theres really not any point ascending with excess UU as you get way more APP from selling them for naq

I would go with what lucky star said, the "ascension buddy" thing. Only because after ascension you have all that UU to train how you want, instead it being stuck as lifers forever...

On a side note, if you cant trust the person with all your resources, make the broker trade (say if your trading 1mill UU). Do 1mill UU for 1mill UU... so they cant accept and get your UU

I believe this person has yet to recieve SS... so I don't believe your solutions are viable...


but if you don't have SS, but have MSS, if you're lazy... just convert miners into lifers via the market. Just trade UU to UU...
