What in your opinion is 'Dirty Tactics' in a war

there are a few dirty things you can do. Showing any sign of friendship, then attacking/massing someone is something I consider to be exceedingly low. I dont care if its a game or not, that person has put their time into their account and as their friend you shouldnt do such things. Then of course the other thing is lying, never a good thing to do, unless you lie about something such as your defense etc..something meneal that involves the game and then to someone you know is your enemy and they know is your enemy.

So basically backstabbing. Thats the only dirty tactic I can think of. Oh! and using things said on the forum as a warmongerers excuse.

Otherwise anything goes I suppose.

I say being a mean person in general is a dirty tactic...

I mean, it hurts feelings and provokes anger... and it may raise blood pressure which leads to a heart attack and thus damage to self worth in real life... which is dirty

well, other than that, hitting alliance members and officers is dirty, and people gaining up on 1 person...

planets and other servers are okay to me :S

Other servers is dirty tactic 500%, UNLESS it is MAIN/ASCENSION we talk about, then it's "normal"!

The funniest (and dirtiest) tactic I have ever seen was buying someone on the opposing ppt just as they started their first one for the week - thus limiting them to one for the week.

Callling a bomb scare at your, enemy work place, so he's forced away from the computer so you can mass him.

Sending his girlfriend nude pics, so that they get in a fight, and using that time to mass him, however that one backfires sometimes. kinky girls.

for me personally dirty tactics are:

cheating, multi-ing.
going back on ones word once it is given
backstabbing



In a war that i am actively involved in, i will expect my planets to be targeted & taken. I also absolutely hate 'planet thiefs', so i make it a point to not touch anyones planets even if it gives them an major advantage over me. If people leave my planets alone in a war, i will leave theirs alone as well. If my planets are actively targeted & taken(even when i ask them to stop) i will make it my personal mission to make sure they loose all of their planets in a very short amount of time.

massing officers which aren't involved in the war, massing friends which aren't involved in the war, destroying planets (at least those which don't have stats but UP & income)

Not many... theres a few out there, although they mainly involve non ingame related things... recently had someone attack me, when I responded with pms he said "Don't hurt me I'm swapping my account"... pretty lame if you ask me. Everything ingames pretty fair game though... officers provide support to the commander, imo you should warn them to leave before you mass them... or if they wish to say arrange something where they can pay half of the up they give to their commander to you... or the lot...

Yes they are valid as I said admin seems to prefer these tactics. But please note I said using them on the offensive is "Dirty" to me. using them on the defensive after being attacked by a much stronger opponent is tactical.

If your going to start a war with someone then war with them. A hard fought war, win or lose, is enjoyable. Having someone build a massive strike and then sell off only to repeat the process every 4 days is nothing but a torn in the side that wont go away and admin seems to favor this as he has removed every way to end a war.

I hardly ever go to full war on anyone but if i do..

Ill mass there officers if i can
Ill take there planets and abandon or sell if i can
Ill attack anyone who funds them if i can
Ill pay others too hit them and ill involve everyone whos willing too fight alongside me if i can.
be it one person or an aliance who said war was 1v1 ?

basicly if i go full out war ill do everything in my power too destroy them until they or i come too an agreement.

all that said its very rare i go full out war.

I dont consider any of the above dirty tactics if your going too push me into war expect me too fight back anyway i can.

but i do agree with lores comments about having nothing too hit.
i wouldnt consider it dirty but more lame and i wouldnt call it a tactic more cowadice.
but i supose there have always been cowards in wars and those using the cowards tactics should be branded so.
