A new role for planets....

How do you lose planets? Well you have a power and reputation score. (like war score now) Except losses count as negative. The higher the score the more likely you are to conquer the planet and convert the occupants to your cause.

Ie. Lets say, game just begun, Person A has 5 planets, 1mill uu on each. Person B has 3 planets, a mill uu on each. Person B has just successfully massed another person in the opening hours and has 150mill war score. Person A has just been farming, has won most, giving him a total 170mill, but has failed on some and lost some men, so ends up with a total of 140mill war score. Person B attacks A, and has a 10mill lead, which is a 15% bonus. This is then put into some code, I cannot begin to imagine, that so when Person B attacks A and destroys A's defense (so masses it away) Person B has a 15% chance to convert one of person A's planets to his realm, because he, like a goauld has conquered, OR as a tauri/asgard has freed and now protects, or as an replicator has exterminated and consumed all natural resources to produce new replicators.

This planet idea would need to be fine tuned but I think that would be a better use for planets.


I add, that if you dont have the planets to hold the uu. You lose the uu. No debates moaning, plagues, or anything. The uu dies.

How would this take place? 48 hours for players to gather as many planets as they can, upgrade them, with your mothership being able to go out once an hour. Meaning no one would be left with more then 58mill army sizes. (A big loss for some, but ultimately the FEW) This would mean that the playing field was massively leveled, and would mean no more UP planets and i think it would help towards the arguing.

no..UP would be as normaly, but if you dont have the planets to accomodate the uu and soldiers/spies, then you wont gain anything, no matter how high your UP. Its basically saying that your uu needs living space..:P

lol..sorry there Tok'ra I literally didnt see your post's as ive set you to be ignored.. :lol: and so overlooked them..now looking again ive seen them...

Well, whats the difference between that and having your account sat on? Yeah you get to keep your uu on the latter, but to no avail.

There would probably be a limit to, like each person can only lose one planet every 24 hours. Then youve got time to go on ppt, build a defense up/back up on your planets (I didnt say no defense..).

It would, sorry to say this, but it would make people with lets say 190mill army size, well, they would be bloody reachable at long last. Cos if an alliance was strong enough..down goes their planets, and their power..

It would bring a whole new level to the game where no matter who or how big you are, your not untouchable, and you have everything to lose should you get on the wrong side of someone.

I dont expect anyone with a large army size to like this, and well yeah we all know why, but if your all so good, you can get it allll back anyway.. :lol:

Have it be implemented differently. It would kill far to many UU, just give everyone enough planets to hold their armies. But the planets would have no deffense to start and they still have a chance to lose mass amounts of UU. Of course everyone should be told when it is going to happen and get a free PPT.

Now other changes I feel need to be made. Your home planet should hold 100 million people. You can have 10 moons, I feel this would be more realistic than planets,that each hold 10 million people. This way no one in the game could ever have more than 200 million units, after 200 million your UP is automatically sold to the market at market price. There would be no need of upgrading planets, just planet deffense.

The old planets? Get rid of them,give back all the naq from upgrades and defenses put into them.

yeah there cool additions reider, but the point behind losing uu and it being more killable, was to serious undermine the advantage of people having hundreds of millions of men, you know, making it so there was no way you were untouchable. Thats why I thought if it was going to implemented a ppt wouldnt be good either.
