Mothership Refunds

As many of us purchased because of the affect it had on rank, initially, will their be a refund period.

I understand your point... You can refund things like weapons and get the money back... Simply using them to gain rank for a while.



Currently, think of them like Super Soldiers.



They are powerful things, but you can't do anything about refunding them...for the moment.



Not a bad idea though.


I just don't like it .

IT STILL DOES HAVE AN EFFECT. maybe not quite as drastic as the first day that motherships were out, but i am sitting about 40 ranks higher than i was before i bought my mothership, and I was in the top 100 already anyway... If you were going to change your mind on buying it, you should have thought twice before you clicked that button. I know i did.

except at the time of purchase buying a mothership had a much larger affect on ones rank than it does now.

You say your mothership moved you 40 ranks.

When I purchased it on the 1st day it moved me 1000+ ranks.

Clearly the mothership is not worth what it is now in terms of modifying ones rank and as such if I knew it were to be decreased in affect I would not have bought it.

40 ranks up when you are already in the top 100 is the (rough) equivalent of moving up 6000 ranks from rank 12,000.

This may be the case. But I was already in the top100, before the mothership.

If I had waited till now to get one or not, I think my rank would still be roughly the same, and hence be ranked similarly regardless of whether or not I had one or not.

it still has every bit as much effect as it ever did... it just has the same effect for everyone who buys one. so... if EVWERYONE had one, it really wouldn't affect anyone.but if you were to not buy one when you did, then EVERYON who has one will be ranked higher than you.

quite simple...

rank is determined by adding all of your scores (ranks) for each of the 4 categories. it used to be 3 categories. The person that has the lowest total is rank 1, next is rank 2, etc.

let's say that your ranks are: Covert (200), Strike (200), Defense (200) and you don't have a mothership... your rank for mothership is then 1 greater than the number of motherships that have been bought... let's say 1000 have been bought, your mothership rank is now 1001... so your total ranks added up is 1601.

even though all of your ranks beside mothership are 200, your probably looing at being somewhere in the 500s... who knows, doesn't matter.

however, by ivesting a relatively small amount of naq in your mothership and climbing it's rank up to 200, now you are probably in the 50s, because so many people have al atack or all defense.

If you only buy the mothership and purchase no upgrades, then, maybe there isn't a huge impact, but you have already paid the expensive part, why not pay the cheap part to get yourself a bonus.
