Even for the one or two morons "stuck" in 800x600 resolution you could go all the way upto 780(give or take a few pixels) with no stretching

800x600 = 800 width by 600 height


Note: If you're stuck in 800x600 resolution then you should at the very least drive down to some thrift shop and buy a monitor, they go for an absolute max of $25, and can be purchaced for as cheap as $5 or less, and none will have a max resolution smaller then 1024x768 and you'll likely find that they can go as high as 1280x1024 maybe even higher

If you're stuck in such a low resolution because your PC was built in 1980 then don't you think it's time for a new computer?

Again only a few dollars will buy you a much better computer

Frankly, that is the kind of attitude that just switches people off listening - but it's good to know that you think anyone with an 800x600 monitor is a moron - shows that you have absolutely no basis for an argument - other than to argue. Seriously, wise up, the matter is under discussion elsewhere and if there is to be a change made, then you will be informed.

As for 'a return to how the forum used to be' - even then, if images were too big and stretched the forum on smaller resolutions, the images were removed or the poster asked to resize.

High and Mighty attitude? No - simply trying to convey that yes, you've made your point - but the fact that you keep banging on about and refusing to take any other points into consideration is not going to help your cause. And I've already said that if you actually took the time to read what I actually posted, rather than skimming it and seeing what you think it means, then you would actually see that it has nothing to do with being PC.

And consider yourself warned for inappropriate comments towards a mod - and since you like the rules to be quoted:

Jack - It was the fact that I had posted as a mod, and the manner of your response that was the issue, although to be honest I wouldn't have been happy even if you said it to me as a user. I entered the thread, as a mod, to put a point across as to why it is how it is and to comment on the fact that labelling people as morons is not going to do a heck of a lot to help your case - I don't expect a barrage of abuse as a result. If you're not happy with my modding or with me warning you, then take it up in the appropriate manner. I will not be drawn into a slanging match in the forum with you.
