Safe defense power for income

I'm just wondering if anyone has a rough guide of how much defense you should have for income. For every 1 DMU, I have 2241.58 defense (2,241,576,360,000 per one billion). So with a top 100 defense (Not going to get any more specific), what would be a good income bracket to sit in (I regularly check the game, train units and spend DMU - the most I ever have out is because of sleep).

impossible to say, it depends on other factors:

Have you annoyed anyone with a large strike?

Covert and assassin power, covert particularly, matter a lot, if people can't see your DMU they are less likely to be hitting you for it, with few assassins people can just trim down your defense before farming.

How strong your command star is also matters, don't want people dbling their strike on you.

Rank modifier gives people another edge so you would need a larger defense if you were better ranked to offset that a bit.

I hope not, I dont farm much at all so probably not.

yep... but unfortunately, i got assainated down the ground for only 100 bil. I ussualy can get 400 bil out. btw, i'm in PI so i'm not sure it matters unless you are in COP (the three major alliances before)

My 55 trillion defence was not enough to stop someone wanting 750bill dmu. Again I was attacked by someone much larger and much higher up who only beat me with the +130% multiplyer. I am sick of it. I am trying to compete fairly on planets and levels....the only legal way i can, and I am beaten by a sanctioned abuse of a game function supposed to help rather than hinder me.

So when you try and factor in a safe level of def, remember you have to put in 30% more, because the person hitting you needs only 76.92% of your def in strike.

heh.. yea its pretty random who gets hit or not. Ive seen people with way more defense than me get hit for pittance.

biggest factor id say is when you're on to bank and who you know lol.

That's very true, i sometimes wake up with a trillion dmu and when i check the cosmos a reasonable proportion of players around my rank actually have 2-5 trill in the open which i find strange considering the rampant farming of the recent past...

IMO a defense won't stop you being farmed if someone wants to farm you, covert to hide behind is more useful. Also it probably helps if you try not to leave your DMU out during the evening when more people will be playing, over night you have slightly more leeway.

People who farm you when you have a few hundred billion defense generally only do it once a week maybe slightly more often because they pretty much get the crap kicked out of them every time.

IMO a defense won't stop you being farmed if someone wants to farm you, covert to hide behind is more useful. Also it probably helps if you try not to leave your DMU out during the evening when more people will be playing, over night you have slightly more leeway.
