Empress Vajnraa wrote:Anyway, I just wanted to say, that we're looking for voice actors for the game! The voice snippets we want are just short in-game statements (equal to the things in Halo, like "You know our motto! We DELIVIER!"). We want voices for Jessica, Cassandra, Noah, President Kane, and a new villain named Ky.

If you are interested, send me a PM, telling me which character you'd like to audition for! Obviously this is for both genders. So... you're interested, just PM me.

This is what I get when I don't want to buy a mic. I would do it, if only it were possible.

Well, I always play without sound, so for me, voice acting is really extra, something people do to bring their game up to the higher level.

New stuff, graphics, voicemod, what else will your think of?

Re: Stargate Computer Game!

I'm working on a 3d engine, where you can pilot a human ship against enemies in in a 3d environment. It's a lot like piloting a banshee in Halo, I think. It's still a ways off though, not even at a demo stage.

The ultimate cultivation of the series is a 3d Online game, where you can chat in realtime with your opponent(s)

Re: Stargate Computer Game!

3D game. Pixels or real 3D? (Forget I asked such a stupid question)

Don't take me wrong, but it's the system that you use now that makes it popular. Why go from a good system to something that can't rival with years old 3D technology. I'd use the same system, but make it interactive, like trading, upgrading, ship building (you can only control one, yet you can have several on "autopilot"), taking planets, mining, research,...

Image StarGateWorlds, yet in a pixels. People would take it up much more easily than a fancy "real" game.

Re: Stargate Computer Game!

Honestly, the games aren't that popular. Among the Gateworld community... maybe, but in general, not at all. We've been trying to re-release the games, spruced up to revive the series, but so far success has been minimal.

Hate to say it, but if we can't draw much attention to the games, then we won't be making any more of them.

Then what you need is publicity.

I'll get back to you.

In the mean time...

You! Yes, YOU!!! Why don't you stop looking at other threads and reply in this one and maybe play one of this fabulous games!

Well, the original Stargate Battles games have been canceled, but a new game has entered production. I've added several demos and will (hopefully) make regular updates.

Re: Stargate Computer Game!

Vajnraa, you have no idea how long have I been waiting for this post. For the last couple of months, I have been checking every week to find something and even the 64bits page seemed dead, without any Stargate activity.

I'm glad that you have returned and told us what's going on. It would truly be a pitty of it all disappeared.

Very much looking forward to your new game(s)!

All the demo-links are in the first page, under the screenshots.
