I think you should be able to get through ppt's anyway lol. In the SG-1 TV series Anubis dosent take much notice of it and attacks planets under the PPT. I think if you attack someone who has purchased a MARKET ppt then they get double their defense, it cost's you double the at's, but you can attack them if you dare/can afford it.

Point of PPT then?

You can still have the proper one via the use of $$ and double the defense? Double the use of at's. That will be more damaging then you'd think to all but the most determined. Unless of course you have no defense like me..

The people who are not on PPT and not logged in are on Critical and Nox, so the heavy earners are the ones who are "CHEATING" the system.. The whole original point of PPT is to protect those who cant protect themselves...

So how about this for a proposal

Do Wolf 359's Idea of removing the turns from the market.

0-20 Million Army size players can still use PPT as it is at the moment..
20-80 Million army sized players can use PPT but only through $$$ purchases
80-200 Miliion army sized players can NOT use PPT at all

If you have that large an army and you have to use PPT to "protect" your income/account then why do you bother playing?? Your obviously not good enough to play if you have to protect it with a PPT..

People buy resources ALL the time in this game, so the people under 18 can always sell say (example) sell 1000 turns to players who buy an SS, thats what I did to get my SS and when I got it I jumped 2000 ranks in one weekend.. So yeah it wouldn't really effect gameplay that much...

What makes me sick is the amount of people who voted no, I bet you are large enough to "act" all tough but if you didn't have your "precious protection" would you be as loud mouthed??? I think not!!

The whole idea off PPT is to give a chance for a smaller alliance to gather some resources to fight against a large one.
Otherwise it wouldn't be possible and this game wouldn't be funny anymore.

And also the idea is to give a break to ppl who are playing and it doesn't necessarily mean that they cannot protect themselves - i will not sacrifice my RL because of sgw and i'm sure many will agree with this just like jedimasterX said.

I can understand wanting people to not be able to just hide behind PPT-that they should be playing the game. But I for one don't have the luxury of being able to log in every day.

I work full-time and I'm also enrolled in college full-time. Add to that Southern California traffic and my days are completely shot. I need PPT in order for me to be able to do my work, my studies, my RL and be able to come back to the game without having lost everything. Without PPT you're going to find that most people won't play-you can't afford to be in a game where you can be attacked anytime unless you have a lot of free time every day.

When PPT was implemented the way it is now, the mods and admin I'm sure discussed this and it was still implemented. I think they were right. I also don't think that admin is going to reverse something he already changed-unless the overwhelming majority says to.

Regardless of who's right, or if there even is a "right" answer-from the results so far you are not going to get a majority to side with you. Why don't you therefore abandon this-and set to changing something that you can? Like making PPT be only available 24 hours after an attack or the like...

Also-please refrain from making judgments as to why I do what I do or say what I say. Unless you actually know. In that case please tell me what color I'm thinking of now-or better yet tell me where I left that stupid thumb drive...

I say Yes - take away PPT ability for this time period - but at the same time, reset everyone's AT to 0 (only for this time period - they get them back at the end), remove all AT from the market (and don't put anymore in) and therefore the only AT available is the 3 generated per turn.

Sorry - but although I am not the biggest fan of PPT - it became necessary when unlimited AT became available and the game ceased to become a true turn based game. Therefore, to get rid of one, you must compensate by getting rid of the other.

oh and buck im quite sure forum makes nothing off the ppts because you get them on the ingame market nowadays for the amount of naq you can get with 15 attack turns

forum would make more money if it became $$$ only

and by the way people did just fine when ppt wasn't a 4 day everyday kind of thing and if you didn't have the time then you can buy it with money or use vacation mode

now on a completely unrelated note did you know that vacation mode was originally made for people who need to be away that if you have work or s holiday thats what vacation mode was there for

What I dont get it in this small,big related topics...we are all equal in use of game rules.Its not that 400 mill guy can buy 7 days PPT for hole week.You still have 3 days to mass,raid,farm him and belive me it hurts no matter how big you are not being able to collect income for 3 days.Bigger you are bigger your need and hunger for naq is.You cant protect 10 bill income per turn with 100 bill deff.So you have to build proportional deff to your income and althou deff isnt growing exponentialy it still costs.

The game is evolving,it cant go back what it used to be for numerous reasons!
Very fact you left for game changing it is your loss not ours.When ascension came into play I didnt know whats that all about and when some reached LGs I slightly get to know what ascension means.I didnt like it and i still dont like it couse it unbalanced hole server.And the fact when i joined the game didnt signed it to be forced to play second game I am now couse game has evolved big time.Althou I had 2 chances quit the game or swalow it and go on playing.I choosed to stay and play forced second game.
Same goes for PPT.It is integrated in tactics all over the game,same in war as in peace time.It is neccesty we can all use and live with it.You also can get massed and then collect resoursec for 4 days to go on fightin,same as the guy with 200 mills UU or those with 100k.I barely used PPT when i was small couse i had to pay more to get it then i would earn in those 2 days so i traded UU to get AT to raid ETC.
And last I have a real life,sometime couse of nature of my work I can barely login once every 2 days(not all of us have net access at our work place)and with even minimum of my income with being on nox and critical I would be farmed with the biggest deff I can afford(having deff proprtional to your army size)couse of attack planets which gives attackers minimum losses.
But whatever might be the outcome I will still play the game and addopt to new tactics and not whine about couse we would all be equal ubder that new rule.

P.S.
And being daimon isnt same as being ascended.It also cut you short and disadvantages you.

thats where wolf's suggestion comes in handy

without the unlimited supply of attack turns you wont need to be online as much

and also i believe with the unlimited attack turns right now it's actually even more the person who has more time wins then it was before unlimited attack turns and ppt 4 days a week

On wolfs suggestion,cut down endless AT supply(market) and then explain how will this help smaller players.They will never be able to catch up with big ones.So gap will be greater then ever.This was unchangeable second it was introduced ingame

Game is FINE as it is stop with PPT scapegoating we ALL know only thing needing a major working is INGAME market.

I will add precisions to this:
_Bigger multiplies in ingame market 10x 20x 50x for example. It causes:
_LESS interest in forum market>>prices fall as demand falls>>excess needs can be obtained in forum market when all MTs are used, as sellers will prefer prices from forum market than ingame market.

been able to buy MORE attack turns been able to attack for MORE naq so they grow MORE and they grow MORE faster

new players will at least have a fighting chance if they get a good CO

but tell me how unlimited attack turns doesnt just give the bigger players a bigger gap?
