the stand for our laptop, is made from lego blocks... it has yet to show any hint of melting...

it does require quite some heat to melt lego blocks...

Lego's are pretty heat resistant... I think you could do better though... I mean-if I'm building my own case from lego's I could finally get that 4 board setup I've been wanting... even with just dual core's it would still rock of course then there might be heat issues... but again-lego's! i can make the right size holes for my ac to pipe directly in... hmm... the possibilities!!

thinking back to Mythbusters-a toaster oven is often used for this sort of thing-with a cooking thermometer stuck in to make sure its actually heating to the temp it says on the dial. they used this for their episode testing lighter myths
