Humm let me say a few things there.

While you all have been arguing about many lame things, I GOT A CHRISTMAS TREE WHICH ALMOST FELL OFF THE CAR!! Wow was that exciting.

Anyways, back to this thread.

What you all are missing is not how impossible of a feat this is, but how exciting and what a thrill it can be to try and accomplish it. You all get on each others cases and put each other down and diminish peoples ideas as it wont work, people dont care to come to the forums anymore. WOW, I beleive I have found the biggest problem to date.

no. The biggest problem to date is people like yourself coming onto the forums with no respect for the older generation of player.

A true system Lord doesnt need to only be arogant be get thigns accomplished, you say things you dont mean and try to bluff your way through things. There are System Lords out there that take the time to consider different routes, thus creating plans and creating havoc not only through numbers, but through strategy. Ra, you think because of you massive army size you can hold people at bay, and im here to tell you your not the greatest being in the world, REK is. XD But on a serious note, instead of bickering and whining and battling with words that mean nothing, why dont we caste aside all that and actually do something all system lords are good for, destroying the Tauri.

Judging by all that you seem to have not watched an episode of stargate SG-1 before season 8 at all and have no idea what a System Lord is, "A true system lord dosent need to be arrogant...." I believe the very definition of system lord included arrogant. REK is NOT the greatest system lord, ETL is.

For all those who said its been done, it will fail, instead of saying it cannot be done, lets start saying How can it be done. What lessons did we learn, what mistakes did we make etc.

Is it not a good feeling to show someone who said it cannot be done, actually see it being done.

We younger Goauld do need to listen to the elders, but also to find new ways of doing something. Then the elders should listen right back.

The only way, is to get one system lord who is respected, not just by his army size, but also diplomatic nature.

A core is required, a base built then the walls. When this is done, the door will be opened

You know when I still had an account worth anything, I would've already slapped around someone in this thread. I remember one time when I was the mod massing an Asgard not 2 minutes after he came into the Goa'uld forum and made snide remarks about me. That was how I used to do it anyway...

@Semper-First off, I have seen every episode, and when I stated a "system lord doesnt need to be arogant". Well, just re read that about 5 times and get back to me. You will understand it a little better.

No, the mere notion of what you said implies your an imbecile. I do understand what 'dosent need' means, but if you say anything other then, 'they need to be' you do grasp very little of what a system lord is.

And no, people do treat older players with respect. This is how it goes semper, if YOU want respect, then you must also respect others. Dont jsut demand it. "We" newer players do have repsect for you "old guys", but when you come into someones thread and try to degrade the very nature of it, we lose repsect for you old people.

We all told you nicely first it wouldnt work, you persisted ignoring us, so we got a little forceful. And once again, your weak grasping of the system lords shows. We do demand respect, we do degrade, were system lords, we overly role play. Thats the way this forum works, its a dog eat dog forum.

The biggest problem to date on these forums is the fact that when someone wants to post something interesting, someone other fruit comes into the thread, mostly you old people, and start arguing about how stupid the thread is, how pointless it is, it wont work, just give up. You keep doing that in the forums, you wont ever gain respect.

We all have respect, maybe not from you, but i certainly wouldnt lose sleep at night either way. We like to argue and demoralize, its what we do.

on and back on topic, i agree Tetris, but the thing is with no organization, the attempt is futile... and the strategy thing, *points at Osi* that is his method, and we have seen in the past how woefully ineffective they are. now, to get the ask done, you need some one who can satisfy their comrades, someone who can find the balance between Bloodthursty anc cowardly. even Rylan couldnt do this, but it is possible. on a final note, tetris, i say you go right ahead and subjigate the Tauri, why should i expend my forces when you are so eager to do the job. you are a potential enemy, everyone is a potential enemy, and when someone is at war they are weak, and vulnerable, and alas the enemy of my enemy is my friend, and sadly other goa'uld pose a bigger threat to goa'uld than the tauri. we all watch and wait for a moment of weakness in which to strike, as that is the foundation of strategy...

We need more younger Goa'uld who think like Harakash here. Maybe if they brought forth a better way of doing things instead of shunning the elders we would have not been so quick to pass judgement. Unfortunately that is not what happened.

I know this topic is dead to Tetrismonkey now. However I have a feeling it will stay alive a while longer.

I will not lie. Even to date I would like to see the Goa'uld be restored to their rightful place in the SGW universe. An as long as I've been around there have only been two ways specified that this is possible.

1. To organize an alliance or pact with all Goa'uld, helping one another and becoming strong TOGETHER.

AND...

2. To put forth a kill-order which enables all individual Goa'uld who are willing to follow a strategic movement set forth by one or more System Lords to wage individual campaigns over a series of months.

Now both have had little success in different ways. So if someone is willing to put forth a 3rd and untried option. Well who knows..

But I have no doubt that is what really needed to be addressed and not how much we are against this ideology.
