Ascension formulas

Has anyone figured out the formula for the cost of Charisma levels above 500 yet?

From 100-500, the formula is:
(l/10)^4*20+l*2

Above 500, though, the costs go somewhat exponential, but not strictly exponential, and I can't figure out what the math is. Here are some levels and their costs:

501: 128290307
502: 131659351
503: 135109900
504: 138643758
505: 142262764
506: 145968796
507: 149763768
508: 153649633
509: 157628382
510: 161702047

Does anyone know the formula?

y = 325.5e0.025x
R² = 1

According to excels trend line given the data you've given me.

 excel trend is very far from the actual formula. ;)
And it's easier to figure out from round 100 level costs. If someone could send me some round level costs, I could start working on that.

Re: Ascension formulas

Still excel and other programs can give you some good forecast if you have more data for lower lvls. So someone should gather data for lvls from 500-550 and then it can be very accurate.

Re: Ascension formulas

Well ... I started gathering data carefully ... then got lazy.

Here's all the data I have for levels 500+ (below level 500 is irrelevant since the equation changes at level 500):

501: 128290307
502: 131659351
503: 135109900
504: 138643758
505: 142262764
506: 145968796
507: 149763768
508: 153649633
509: 157628382
510: 161702047
511: 165872699
512: 170142451
513: 174513456
514: 178987911
515: 183568058
516: 188256178
517: 193054602
518: 197965703
519: 202991903
520: 208135668
521: 213399516
522: 218786010
523: 224297765
524: 229937447
525: 235707771
526: 241611507
...
531: 273232044
532: 279997440
533: 286917172
534: 293994462
535: 301232592
536: 308634906
537: 316204812
538: 323945781
539: 331861351
540: 339955124
541: 348230772
542: 356692033
543: 365342716
544: 374186702
545: 383227943
546: 392470465
...
548: 411575823
...
558: 520651402
...
563: 584670959

Doing some curve fitting for an exponential curve with a fixed offset and using the values at 501, 532, and 563, I've got a decent approximation, but it isn't accurate (except for those points), only approximate:

x=22167939; y=1.02274806850373; (128290307+x)*y^(level-501)-x

Re: Ascension formulas

Oh ... and in case anyone was looking for it, the formula to convert from your fleet count and Charisma level to your UP is:

fleets * (1+level/100)^3

Most of the other stats work this way too ... but are only squared (raised to the power of 2) instead of cubed (raised to the power of 3)

Re: Ascension formulas

well, you catch the original formula than aply level/500 9 MORE times. because already have one.

Re: Ascension formulas

PSICOLIX, thanks!

I doubt I ever would have figured that out ... it a bizarre formula, but works perfectly.

For anyone who didn't get that, the formula for levels above 500 is:

(level/500)^9*((level/10)^4*20+level*2)

And I think the formula before level 100 was

(level/10)^3*200+200

But I didn't take good enough notes to confirm that.

Ok, the only other equation I've been stumped by is the one that converts from your maximum energy level to your maximum life force. You got that one figured out?

Here are some data points I've collected. But I haven't found an equation that connects them.

250: 6128000
251: 6187690
252: 6247762
253: 6308215
254: 6369053
255: 6430275
256: 6491883
257: 6553879
258: 6616262
259: 6679036
260: 6742200
270: 7395600
271: 7463142
272: 7531090
273: 7599443
274: 7668205
290: 8824800
300: 9603000
330: 12206400
340: 13167800
350: 14178000
360: 15238200
370: 16349600
380: 17513400
390: 18730800

I suppose I should find a version of Mathmatica and see if it can just tell me the answer. It would have found the Charisma answer if I had asked it to find a polynomial fit (I assumed in the "ascended changes" log that "exponential" meant exponential, and not polynomial --- silly me!)

Before I dig up Mathmatica, does anyone know this max life force to life force equation?

Re: Ascension formulas

Well ... I asked Mathematica, and it said the above formula was:

0.2*level^3+40*level^2+2000*level+3000

And that seems to work perfectly. Though ... I would prefer if that equation was grouped better... I'm sure it probably is in the game code.

Oh well.

I guess I should remember to turn to power tools sooner. They work better than my head... :)

Re: Ascension formulas

Bugger. Posted just too soon. I was about to give up on grouping it better when I figured it out. With decent grouping, it looks like this:

level*20*(10+level/10)^2+3000

Re: Ascension formulas

max LF formula is:
3000+1000*MNEC*((1+MNEC/100)^2)*2

only formulas I dont have are the flow/channeling ones.. anyone got them?

oh and the after 500 thing only applies for personal levels and MNEC.. not physical or production.

Re: Ascension formulas

The flow equation is this:

recovery rate = max lf * (25/12+flow/20)/100

So ... your recovery rate is a direct percentage of your max life force. At level 0, you recover 25/12 = 2.083% of your max life force every turn. At level 100, you recover 25/12+100/20 = 7.083% of your max life force every turn.

Channeling is similar. The lower recovery rate appears to be:

max lf * (8/15+channeling/100)/100

And the higher one is twice that.
