How to solve the issues of mod and community??

Nimras I'm not talking about locking threads because of the rules.
I'm talking about locking threads due to false interpretations of the rules.

I'm not talking about locking threads intended to harass someone with language or banning people whom use foul language. And you are NOT supposed to ignore them if you fear for your accounts safety.

If this was RL, you'd get shot at. Police officers get shot at every day. It comes with the job. Be glad this is not RL.

Best thing you guys can do is listen to my future guidance to drasticly limit things like these.

Lol Well basicly he didnt lock the thread he gave them a clean one to work with clean of harrashement and insults on players thats all withing the limit of the rules and actually what the rules states.

Reason to lock is then the insults could be investigated for how bad they where should ban be set out thats also in the rules.

Now i do mod even when i know someone will one day in anger for doing my job mass me. But BTW the cops get PAYED for it I dont. When i get massed who will rebuild me?? My self when a cop get shot he gets full pention and help from his famely, friends and cops. We dont.

Are you kidding me? When cops gets shot their dead. Their families don't care about the life insurance or money they get. Their husbands and fathers and mothers are dead. Atleast you can rebuild after you get massed. Being massed is not a big deal at all. Just mass the people back, it's a war game. Try to avoid it, but if it happens, welcome the chalange and return the favor.

Also note that I do not know who just got massed and for what reason. The things I've posted are in general, and they probably apply to whatever just happened. If not that sucks. Mass the offender back. You're a mod on the forums, but your a player ingame. You do not moderate the game fyi...

Lol i was mentioning a cop who survived Ero's like we surive the massing .

Now i know you dont but in general it is not often when a COP is off and go home that the job follow. When we work as a mod here its a job, when we are off we talk as a player and play ingame we dont bring in anything regarding our mod job to the ingame. nor Forum.

I dont mod someone for massing me unjust ingame here on the Forum BECASE I CAN, i dont bring ingame if he complaints about my modding abilities why because its a job and not part of the game nor should it be.

But it dont go the other way around you guys bring our work ingame when it shouldnt be. We dont.

What happens to you here because a mod does his job even if it werent the right thing SHOULD STAY HERE. What he does as a player here is about the game and therefore can be taken in game. Thats what i think and what i always mean should be like.

Because in the end less and less people would mod even some would stop modding some peopl in fear and if that happens well say goodbuy to this game.

Supersquish is one of the most respected and reasonable mods out there. I cannot believe that he would lock a thread just because HE wanted to.

If a person the thread is related requests it, a good mod would close it. A new thread, and a new set of attitudes may be started again.

Everyone knows that the war threads are just 30 pages filled with spam and flaming, with the occasional sportsmanship and talk of war. Although, if mutiple request ask for it to be opened, it should be reopened.

The mods serve the community. They are not gods aka, they aren't perfect and all knowing.

Some of them deserves a good massing, but that someone is not supersquish.

I'm not yelling at you Nimras, i'm only explaining. People SHOULD NOT bring things ingame? Who came up with that rule? Probably a mod... If it was admin, it was probably after mods cried.

Bringing things ingame is a good way to have fun and get revenge you couldn't in any other way. While I don't condone it, I understand and respect it.

Asami you only started being an active forum member less than a month ago, trust me, you dont know anything yet...
I don't know Supersquishe very well either, I've only seen him on IRC where he seemed cool, but I don't know much so I refuse to comment. I've let my thoughts on the whole moderating/ingame responses be known, enjoy the read and maybe it'll enlighten a few minds..

I don't oppose mods being massed, honestly, just the good ones. Of all the people massed, why supersquish? And for such a small reason.

Eros, I've been on the forums for over a year, maybe two. I know quite a bit. Don't look at the forum join date, it's misleading

Atleast there was a reason... There are countless people who get massed for no reason... And now after finding out why he got massed, he should have seen it comming. He locked the thread of 2 of the most feared warmongering alliances in the game. If they do dizerve to be locked then he should even if he expects a massing, but the war thread lock was not reasonable. It is a war, people need to bash eachother just at the line, not over the line, but at it.

Seeing as I can't even find a rules thread. Where exactly is the line, and what are mods suppose to do if they think people have crossed it?

There's no perfect way to mod, but perhaps the community can talk it out or send pm's before going straight for the mass.

A moderator locks a war thread and starts a new one because he could not be bothered to moderate the old one.

Said moderator gets massed over it.

Said moderator complains about his massing and locks the second thread he started too.

The thread about the moderator's massing gets locked too.

I start a new thread in order to reply to what the moderator had posted.

My thread gets deleted.

Another moderator starts a thread about the whole issue.

I repost my thread.

My thread gets locked because the moderator claims there is already a thread about the issue (his thread).

So I am asking the community: Am I the only one who does not agree with that kind of moderating? Locking threads instead of moderating them? Deleting threads without giving a reason or even informing the poster about it? Locking threads because you only allow your own threads and just silently delete other threads which were posted before yours?

i dumped it and its people like you geisha who made the forum into such a barren wasteland. I remember the forums being a nice place where people could come while not playing for fun but its people like you who have turned them upside down into nothing. The forums are a waste of time. Homer of IRC is right and i was moderating your war thread thank you very much so how about you do some research into how much time i've spent on that thread before you throw rubbish into the pot.

i dont like all the posts on the forum but i just get over it because its a lot of ascii text and a lot of 1 and 0's and it means nothing. at least i have a life unlike some people here
