Yes there is a mod feedback section. But the mods can start topics in SGW General bashing the community. Shouldn't we have a right to reply in SGW General then too?

This was not meant as a bashing more to hear why people here cant let it stay in the forum when they dont like the job a mod did. I understand if he insulted you as a player but what he does as a mod shouldnt go out.

Like the issue Mystake and Homer it goes both ways it shouldnt happen but thats me.

Just to point out talking to a mod is always the first solution to solve a problem instead of going ingame:

viewtopic.php?f=101&t=100357

Or talk to another mod about it.

In all seriousness folks, the fact of whether or not you should be allowed to mass someone, mod or otherwise, for a comment in the forum is a pointless argument because it can and does happen and there is absolutely no way to stop it.

Conversely, if you have no one else to focus your attentions on, other than someone whose modding you don't agree with, you must be having a very boring game.

But the bottom line is, if you want to guarantee not to be massed, then never attack anyone in-game and never post in the forum - it's the only way! :-D

Moderators are only doing whats good for them, not for the community.
They should serve and help the community, not just do stuff which helps themselves.

Hmmm - I think that's a very broad and unjust statement. Unless of course you would like to try and justify it?

Just to add to Nimras' post there - if you do have an issue with the actions of a mod, then you will find that the best course of action is to pm the mod in question (or another) about it. I seem to keep repeating this a lot recently, but you will find that we are more receptive to issues if they are dealt with in a civil manner and not by trying to score points in a public forum feud.

From what i have seen, many mods (not all) have abused their powers to help themselves in several cases.
In this matter it is the same, Some people have some disagreement with a mod, and that mod just deletes the post because they dont wanna get in trouble...

In this matter??? M8 I know what happen after the massing werent the right way but neither was the massing for a job he did that was after the book, but i do hope you also c that we where trying to solve it peacefully and calm everyone down or at least that was what my intention was. Nothing on my end was hiden or removed and everything is back here as it should be if i missed anything let me know Mystake did :P.

I know some feel that a mod misuse power but instead of taking it ingame take it to another mod you trust or know will work hard to find the buttom issue first. We are here for the community as you are for us, but we do appreciate if you could help your fellow alliance members to remember to leave the bad behavour at home as we try to remind our fellow team mod to do the same :).

But if you have a problem in General since i cant mod outside that i am willing to help you or anyone else first before you go ingame with the issue plz.

Re: How to solve the issues of mod and community??

I think most of you will agree that it is not up to the moderators to decide what is a good reason for a massing and what isn't. Yet the war thread about Supersquish's massing was locked because:

Nimras wrote:Closed this is rubbish attacking a mod member doing his job

I think this is indeed power abuse and it is only an example for many incidents where moderators censor things they don't want to see on the forums regardless if they are absolutely fine by the forum rules.

Which is why mods are taking their good time in electing an ombudsman to keep them in line.. The ombudsman declaration was due a couple days ago...

It werent power abuse and actually i did only lock it not delete it so i didnt hide it. But no it was rubish to start a thread in GC when it should

    [1] be in vendetta
[2] be kept in the forum because the job was after the book

i locked it because it was turning into a hate party and arguments was about to spring.

No closing that was to calm things down or my hope to do so i know my remark at the time werent the smartest but i am human and was angry and was close to delete the thread in anger over someone break 1 clear rule of the forum and breaks 1 moral rule. He posted a topic in the wrong section knowingly, 2 he massed a mod for doing his job which i could have been the one because many where complaining about it else it wouldnt happen.

But Gheisha that massing was uncalled for so was the topic. Hence locked. It was by the book not to misuse power nor to make you think that i followed protocol on the rules of this forum.
