my friend cannot activate his SGW account.... help???

ok so 1 of my buddies from another text based MMO is trying to activate his account and originally tried doing so using firefox - this however redirected him to another page telling him to use internet explorer with specific settings, so he did so and he is still unable to activate his account... any one got any suggestions i can give him?

perhaps a GM can just activate his account? (Naraku)

does him being on 56k have anything to do with it? i dont see why it would but that is the only thing that MIGHT come to my mind right now...

are you talking about the brower referring page thing?

ya i double checked with him, apparently he was finally able to activate his account, he got the thing that asked him to change his password so he did but when he goes to log in he just cant... he didnt say any more and logged for the night so i wont know more until 2morrow...

ok so i talked to him... his issue is definitely that when he tries to log on he gets the following screen that appears (he's redirected to it)::

^sorry i'd insert it into the forums but it exceeds the 600 pixels wide rule

he HAS tried switching to IE and following those steps but it DID NOT work... any suggestions?? he gets it every time he attempts to log on in FF or IE... he's going to try opera next but would prefer if he didn't have to use opera just for this game..

i get that message all the time(when i try to insert a link manually)but he shouldn't be getting that message when trying to loggin you should put it in the bugs section

oh and i had better start playing that first game on the pic again i completely forgot about it(btw edit out the other games in the pic)

Well, the URL in the address bar is http://www.stargatewars.com/base.php?game=stargatewa - the first one that comes up after you log in. So, at a guess, he either tried to enter that URL like hidden said (instead of logging in through http://www.stargatewars.com) or it's something to do with cookies or whatnot. Other than that, no idea.
