Recent hax of sgw database?

Well I heard bout it yesterday..someone hacked sgw database. I saw post on TLE forums,changed my pass as someone messed up few accoutns,posted details on irc.

now this happened few minutes before:

04:41 Enygma 0 Naquadah stolen 1 191 0 2,663,824 57,381,344 details
04:37 Enygma 0 AC units killed 10 0 0 2,397,442 28,989,533 details

then a message:

"tko btw budala ni jih pobil ce defenda jih poskusam unict da s****am ta acc itaq je ukradn tko da bmk lol"

which means: btw idiot,it didn't kill them because it's defending...i'm trying to **** this account. it's stolen anyways so i don't give a ****

this guy is slovenian..account is stolen....I posted this here because i don't know when admin check in other sections,but u need to rollback this account. and send ingame message or post messgae ingame that ppl change their details. so this nerd that is writting me now,also said in letters i'm getting now he doesn't play sgw as it's stupid and didn't get details on irc..is he the nerd that hacked the database?

What's the fun in hacking accounts anyway? If they don't sell the naq or UU, they have nothing to gain from it.. utter randomness.

admin,rollback the account asap and do something bout it's password etc. before more accounts will be effected..i didn't lose anything till now....but i don't want to lose even 1 naq....so work it out asap.

I know a guy who's account has been hacked before. The hacker changed the bloke's e-mail address so he couldn't log in. Luckily it was sorted.

if he didn't bann those who used the bug to get to 100m army in no time,he won't ban slvoenia cause too many players are from slovenia and he gets a lot of money from us. and it still doesn't mean this guy accually hacked sgw. he might have got info somewhere else.

A few instances of security breaches in the SGW game doesn't invalidate all the legitimate players from Slovenia, even if some miscreants were from that area.

Anyway, be sure to send an email to the game administration as I highly doubt that they regularly monitor the SGW forums. Password changes are a good idea but since the game stores them as plain text, anyone with access to the database could see them anyway.

Knowing that, it would be wise to use a single password for each game server and NEVER reuse passwords from your email, IM, MySpace, etc.

Hmm, I believe it is more than 'a few instances' - I seem to recall there being quite a lot of them a while ago - literally every other day. Anyway, the buckster and I are just relaying what was said regarding the trouble that was coming from some users in that area. I remember there was a thread about it in which Forum stated his intent should it happen again. Don't suppose anyone knows where it is??
