Ok both parties take 24 hours relaxing. Im slowly starting to get annoyed. This situation has to end as all you guys do is bicker and banter on eachtoher. I suggest to nimras to not let it get personal and i also suggest to eros to take a day off from the forums. This has gone on long enough now and here is where it stops. If i see any more bickering and ranting into eachother i will lock this topic. I am not on anyone's side here and both of you have to realise it needs to end.

Both Eros and the mods know i am neutral. I do not agree with eros being removed and i dont agree with eros massing the mods because of it. I am unsided here and if this bantering continues this topic will be locked. If i get massed for it so be it. But this is gonna end right here and right now.

I have an idea, how about everyone just drops all of this, we bury the threads/posts in the deepest reaches of the darkest places of the forum dump(the real one) and we all forget this ever happened?

I've already tried that. I've offered up my modship in exchange for that. There is a thread in the GC outlining that and another in "This, That, Those" that I apologized for his misunderstanding in. We have talked about both of these on msn, surely you have read them?

If mods move threads away and listen to you to hid this in the deepest, darkest depths, then what? People cry out that mod are trying to silence the people and all that rubbish?

mods it will still continue? I interpret what you said as the involved parties wanted to stop but mods kept going on it. Is that what you mean?

If that is what you believe please read the thread in the GC. I offered and wanted it all to stop. Eros: your former community ombudsperson wanted it to continue. Your representative made the choice to continue after I asked for everything to stop.

Sorry mods, you missed the point, this role was never about who YOU like, it was about who WE want to keep an eye on you sneaky sods, to make sure you are not abusing your power...but what happened, 1 sniff of controvesy and you all remove Eros without any delay.

In case you haven't noticed Psi the Mods don't have credibility, which is why the ombudsman position was invented. Now if you mods are talking about people in private and not being respectful and it subsequently comes out who is to blame? The people who talk badly about posters on their private little mod board or the guy who gets access for the purposes of keeping an eye on the mods?

Sounds to me like people are saying stuff they shouldn't on the mod forum, after all why would you be concerned at Eros saving threads from the mod forum if they didn't contain something you lot would rather not was made public?

Borek, check out my last post - will people really be surprised to see that we talk about things that happen in the forum - including threads and users? I think not.

Will people also be surpised that sometimes we argue and have disagreements? No.

I for one am confident that the mods have nothing at all to fear from anything that Eros might post from the Mod Forum, and if that is what it takes to prove we have nothing to hide, then bring it on.

Bottom line - we're not concerned.

It all goes back to respect, you lot have low levels of respect for the posters, zero respect for who we voted as Ombudman, we all know you never wanted an ombusman, it was only jason promoting Mystake that made it happen in the 1st place. Now i admit i never thought Mystake would do a decent job, but he did and ironically just as he was really starting to get to grips with it he was removed and we had a vote for the new one thread, now you guys don't like Eros, who's to say you will like Jack, or jedi, or anyone else we vote for?

He may have acted like a <modded by Wolf359 - no need for that language>, but people don't just immediately become perfect for the role, it takes time to get used to it and work out how best to deal with people, you never gave him a chance, you never WANTED to give him a chance in the 1st place.

Actually Borek, the ombudsman must be able to work with the mods, which was why the system to select the ombudsman was put in place, i.e. nominations, followed by the mods selecting a person from the top 3 or 4 nominees. Personally, I didn't like the system chosen, but it was published and accepted by the community when nominations began.

That aside, we mods DIDN'T miss the point - the ombudsman must be able to work with the mods, within the role and bounds of the ombudsman position, as well as represent the mod issues of the community. Eros broke the bounds from the first second, refused to acknowledge it, and refused to accept that anyone's opinion was correct other than his. Does that sound like someone you could work with?

Actually there was no Moderating voting on an ombudsman in their forums. They did talk a little about me, how they hoped I wouldn't come in with a big hammer in my hand, but there wasnt even any consideration for the other nominees.

The way I read it, there was more than one reason.. besides, it's basically the case that the guy who hired you, can theoretically fire you the same day without giving reasons. It's the whole "being delegates of a private owner" deal.

Although one could say the hiring party admits to mismanagement when firing a person they hire the same day.. I think the events that played a role here were actually not present until after you being introduced to the position, which would make it regrettable, but unforeseeable circumstances..

We discussed all nominees throughout the duration of the nominations. Just because you didn't see it, doesn't mean it didn't happen.

It's a bit like all those polls you told us, and since yesterday, the rest of the community you did via MSN. We haven't seen them, but we didn't turn around and say you didn't do them did we?

I told you many times that what you were doing was wrong and that I wasn't going to tolerate it and that you need to let it go.

I did NOT just fire you after you made the post, I gave you many, many chances to just shut it down. You're still carrying on and all you've achieved is confirming for me and everyone else that I made the right desision.

You are unable to mediate something as trivial as this. You were not capable of doing the job at hand.
