Re: Eros - Removed as Ombudsman
I think if anyone should be banned on grounds on "unfit for public viewing and social situations", it should be this guy.
Smooshable? What do you think?

He has not yet been given the psychological help he needs yet Goodie. He is still delusional and will not see sense until he gets help. You can tell him that that big fiery ball that shines in the sky during the day is the sun and he will swear till he is blue in the face that it is the moon.
If anyone knows who Ero'Sore is in RL (or better yet, Ero'Sore's family or boyfriend), please contact them and plead with them to get this poor schlub some psychological help.

That's a little immature, don't you think? Don't bring yourself down to the level of children mojo.

I'm sure it was just the result of starting to believe our own propaganda about Eros being a woman (as stipulated by Eros prior to this post), thus deserving of a boyfriend (which doesn't seem to be ill-willed).. don't think any offense was intended (as no insult was put forth).
Although considering Eros being a guy and all, and so very sensitive about his gender, it can indeed be construed as willful insulting..
Anyway, I'm sure this was just once.

Re: Eros - Removed as Ombudsman
At the risk of being called out on mod bias, modding a thread I am directly involved in, there should be no real life insults here.
I consider a real life insult to be something that is not reflective of the character a user has on this forum but discusses the person in real life, or comments that stipulate character traits of the actual user, away from the game and forum, that is not grounded in first hand fact or observation.
Posts will be edited/deleted and users warned.

Re: Eros - Removed as Ombudsman
I apologize for any offense I may have caused by my last post (or any other post in this thread). My concern right now is for the mental health of a member of this Forum. It is a genuine concern (and I cannot help but bring RL into this currently) because I fear he may do himself or others harm very soon if he is not helped. Since I don't know Ero'Sore's real name, I have been trying to use this Forum to reach ANYONE who knows this person to encourage them to seek help. But now that I have done my Christian duty, I will just let things lie on the Forums and use the power of prayer to try and help Ero'Sore. God bless you all and have a wonderful day.

Re: Eros - Removed as Ombudsman
Aw Spacey I was going to adress that to the Admin tomorrow..
And as most of you noticed, Mojo suffered permanent brain damage after slamming his head across the table multiple times since I massed him.
He afterwords found God and a shrink. His shrink offered him a free 1 hour session for every person he gets psychiatric attention. Mojo is simply trying to use me and also crusade for his religion..

Re: Eros - Removed as Ombudsman
Mojo, thanks for vocalizing your concern for another member's wellbeing.
Eros, as far as I can tell no posts in these 5 threads were edited. Not even the masking your friend did. If you are going to tell a story, be sure you tell the whole story.
As Eros mentioned the admin meetings:
I would encourage you Mojo, and those people unimpressed with their previous ombudsperson, to lobby Forum for a more accountable role for people holding this position.
viewtopic.php?f=101&t=93039
Using the results of the poll in "This, That, Those", 67/95 people (70%) did not agree, but those results we not given weight and acting as a collective player voice was not accomplished. It can be argued as well that the assigned weight/importance of those 67 people was not represented by their ombudsperson.
I would ask you Mojo, and interested parties, to be proactive in participating in the establishment of an ombudsperson position that represents your voice, and to make the position accountable to users (at least) if that individual does not represent your voice. What we have seen here is forum admin stepping in (when things got bad), and that action being questioned, after the ombudsperson has proven to be unaccountable to the people he represents.

Forum wrote:there will be 1 'ombudsman' -- basicly a role that interacts between the forum staff, and the forum users...they are a 'player representative' and are tasking with bringing any and all concerns about the forum, staff, etc to the forum staff. they will act as a collective player voice, giving it more weight/importance and focus. they will have access to everything that a forum mod would...100% visibility...
thank you.
admin jason.

Re: Eros - Removed as Ombudsman
according to the topic logs eros, the only things that have been done of any sort of modding here, is 3 posts deleted by users (two by you, one by other user), once locked&unlocked, and changed to sticky...
no mod has deleted anything here...

A spade is a spade.
If you don't like being called stupid, the perhaps its best to keep your mouth shut from now on.
It's not a matter of luck; it's just a matter of time.
