I consider myself a democrat normally. But I'm ashamed of every other candidate in the election (including McCain). Call me a radical fanatic if you want but my reasons for voting for Ron Paul are as true to America as our constitution. In fact I'm voting for Ron Paul BECAUSE he is the only person who's vowed to honor and uphold the constitution without being sworn into office at which point it's done out of the sake of necessity.
I have no doubt when elected he will stave off the ever-present recession and get the American economy a very revitalizing jump start.
I'm voting for Ron Paul because I believe change shouldn't translate into retreat, surrender or failure. Change means better days, for all Americans.
Vote Ron Paul, a new hope for America.
Ron Paul for President!

Re: Ron Paul for President!
wow, are you writing his campaign ads? because if you're not, you should.
political correctness is a doctrine fostered by an illogical liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mass media that holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Re: Ron Paul for President!
LoL...
What's name of right wing US candidate?
I prefer to know his name as I'm sure in very few day a topic for his campaign will pop up as well...Since people prefer to have war with half the world (not server dont mix rl and game peeps!!!) and have deficits as big as total capital of Exxon Sony or such big firm...I'm not surprised to see campaign for a surely not officially accepted candidate popping up in coming days.
If everyone is going for who's the most nationalist candidate nommater their original opinions then I'm not even going to bother debating. Lost cause imo.

Re: Ron Paul for President!
Say what? Pops, I'm seriously confused by your post. I will say though, my post was made because Ron Paul plans on (so I've heard) pulling out of Iraq to balance his budget, or at least part of it. He might be a fiscally sound candidate, but that's something I'm not sure I can agree with. This being said, the war in Iraq is not the topic of discussion here.
Fiscally sound candidates ftw! (just not this one, imo)

Re: Ron Paul for President!
What made my post that strange is fact Brocov said he was democrat but now he wants to vote for a total strange candidate, from what I read in his opinions and program. He has many liberal/superconservative points but also things that don't fit this way at all.
Being center then fly to which knows how deep right side (I mean opposite of left there lol) by choosing such candidate hmmm I dont find it logical nor good at all.
Get it as that: if democrats choose republican candidate, then if a republican changes too, he picks what?
Hence fact I mention right wing.

Yes.

Jim, I know people that are only voting for someone this year because they are either democrat or republican. THAT is a stupid reason to vote and those people are the lost causes. I looked at every candidate on both platforms before fully supporting Ron Paul. I only wish most Americans did the same, but instead of choosing the most constitutional candidate, they just pick the one that gets the most TV coverage. Save your pity for those people Jim, not me.

Agreed the war isn't the main topic here, but allow me to comment on what you felt like bringing up before you retract it completely. Yes it is true Ron Paul wants to bring the troops home. But that doesn't just mean from Iraq. That means from every place we've ever been including the POW's. He wants to cut our empire in half (or more, god willing) to make his fiscally conservative ideas be implementable here at home.
That scares a lot of Americans, but as we all know we Americans are not the most willing to change. Look at our energy crisis and tell me I'm wrong. The last thing this country needs is to finance an on-going war that has no point anymore, and then have what little money we can still use be leeched off by our welfare state because of our amnesty policy for illegal aliens, who are getting more help from the government than actual American citizens. Only to turn around and have the Federal Reserve say, 'That's ok we'll just print more money out of thin air! An tax you for every dollar we create and call the American people the inflation and not the war.'
Bottom line we have more reasons to come home then we do to justify staying over there, let alone going to war with more of the middle east.

It's only right that a McCain supporter be an avid war monger as is his candidate of choice.
However reserved and unspoken you may be on the topic, I'm certain that is the main reason you like McCain.

War monger? If you think I'm a war monger (which is strange considering I have never argued for the invasion of anything that I can recall, just for finishing the job), then you haven't met a serious war monger. My support for McCain is based on his integrity and moderate views on many issues. Can you say the same for Ron Paul?

I wouldn't save pity for people who vote for Obama, as I see a campaign video of him, ALMOST MAKES ME WISH TO TRY GETTING AMERICAN NATIONALITY IF HE IS ELECTED!!! (considering my country is in dip s/it since a neo-bush lite got elected, that's why I say it, Obama would be way better than the "see i'm here I did this I did that I do all tasks of what gov is meant to do" president I've now)

I can say the same, I'm doing one better in fact. I'm telling people what he stands for and how him being a constitutionalist makes him a more likely candidate (imo) then any of the others, democrat or republican.
This thing called change is a crazy thing, it's scary but it does happen every so often. I'm just hoping we don't get another George W. Bush or at least someone as adamant about going to war with other countries as he is. Can you say the same for John McCain?

Re: Ron Paul for President!
Well, just so we can see where people stand, I found this nifty site for McCain and this one for Paul. I suggest we take a break to skim the issues (at least, I will, to get a sense of Ron Paul.

Re: Ron Paul for President!
Ron Paul might be a good president when the nation is at peace with no open threats.
Until then, getting rid of the CIA, FBI, and every other intelligence agency will only bring about chaos in the world as terrorists are able to get a one up.
