Maybe your interest in game is so low that no matter if old school is back in action you still wont have thrill when playin it.Maybe you just outgrow it.
When this things were introduced they were ussualy what people wanted.Maybe only loud minority wanted those changes(like now)but in 99% of cases was product of players wishes.
I remember Wolf385 on first front line deffending 1 AT per turn but he was so outnumber he looked funny in his quest.Same with ingame market and with increase of naq produced by UU from 20 to 40 naq.All players wishes and all highly praised when introduced and all those changes inflated the games economy and Irreversable changed the game.
I for one always managed to find interest in this game.No matter what upgrades brought.Always tried to adopt to them and make the best of them not that I was best at doing so.
I never thought the game is dieng. Why would I?Couse few of old players left?Manly they lost interest in playing the game as it is.Not couse how much it changed it.They lack time etc.
I hate when they leave it but we all will eventualy one day but until then try to find some amusement in the game ,new goal anything to get blood rushing throu your vains again.
If anything then tittle as "Game is dead" give that deadly feeling around the game not the upgrades whatever they might be.
Don't get me wrong - I don't have any problem with most things - such as raid, planets, the market etc. It is auto-generated turns in the market that I hate - and I have been against it from the outset. And it is because of these things AND unlimited AT that wars are considered by some to be 'unwinnable'. It is because of unlimited AT that single players can now 'bring down entire alliances'. And it is because of this that arrogance has spread through the game and into the forum.
Nothing has to be worked for anymore - the introduction of unlimited AT stripped away the vast majority of any strategy in the game. People used to have to more carefully consider their actions - was it worth using the precious resource of AT to make that hit? What are the consequences likely to be? These days it's 'Who cares? AT grow on trees'. If unlimited AT were removed people would have to think more wisely about how they attacked/raided - because AT would be, once, again the precious resource they ARE MEANT TO BE!
And, because they would become the precious resource they are meant to be, smaller players could make a killing selling them for naq/UU and could improve their account quickly that way.
Plus, the removal of unlimited AT would bring back a greater sense of co-operation, because in order to achieve a victory/deliver a massing, co-operation would be required. I remember the first massing I ever took part in against certain members of OoC - the preparation, co-ordination and anticipation, all online on MSN at 04:00 am GMT, and then launching into it - was brilliant - and you just don't get that anymore. Even if you do get a fair few online at once for an attack, the atmospgere is not the same.
No changes are 'irreversible' - least of all the removal of unlimited AT - the simple fact is, no matter how much they might protest, some people like it the way it is - easy - and are scared to death of having to actually do something to manage their account and grow.
Get rid of them and put some thought back into the game - with them everything is simply too easy.
