couple new toys - flash game section & 'myGameSpace' network

in order to make 'herebegames' more about games - the following ALPHA applications have been added:

http://herebegames.com/myGameSpace -- a social networking site/application dedicated to gamers...lots here but remember - still in alpha.

http://herebegames.com/randomGames -- a decent collection of free flash games that can pass the time when needed

soon to come: a general games forum

right now, one needs to register in each, but ultimately a single login/register will be put in place...

the reason for these additions? Simply put, a place that gamers can game and interact...look for a new 'herebegames' page soon (the sgw forum remains as is of course...)

love to hear people's thoughts on these...neither was a lot of initial work as the code was 'acquired' opposed to built from scratch, but if either or both proves popular, we will ensure that enough attention is applied to them...

I meant in myspace we have nickname and real life name in searchings (so in profile), because I believe first name being Apophis and last name being The Great wouldn't make it very much

i've not found a way to record highscore - i'll keep looking (or if anyone has some code to do it...)

and for 'name' i'll research that too...not hard to update i would think, if its not there in this version....

maybe 'real name' is meant to be missing - all this 'predator' stuff

I'm using it.. along with like 6 others..

But the basics of it are great, "Jay". (*taking a wild guess.. c'mon.. you can accept the friend invitation..*)
Will look to find things that could use a little tweaking or so.
As for highscores, I think I remember someone posting about that on another forum, lemme see if I can look it up.

As far as I know the highscore functionality has to come from the games itself. Either the flash applet has to be connected to a database, or writtin off in xml (or some other txt).

I've seen, installed/embedded, quite a few of these flash like games pages, and its often a matter of the total package having highscore functionality or not.

As far as I've seen, these do not. I could be wrong ofc, I hope so, high scores makes up for some extra competition ^_^
