How is this possible? Surely If they descended themselves then reascended they would egt a new ascended ID not their old one?

They are able to change their main acc back to a basic race, and keep playing ascended with the acc they got when they ascended. So they have not actually descended themselves.

Umm well its an oversight by admin then how would a basic race player have the capabilities to run an ascended realm.

Admin has designed it so a ascended account can continue to function without a main realm backing it.
Many feel like its not right but Jason continues to support it so its legal.
