A day in the life of a Pirate

I am not overly fond of the terms sniper or vulture, so I started calling myself a Pirate. Yar...

So, I thought I would share with the community a little bit about what happens to one of the few Pirates that wanders the ascended realms.

On February 28th I had a very good day. I spent my turns almost exclusively on Piracy with a little recon on the side to check on my progress in comparison to other notables in the ascended realms and some minor sabotage on Dead_Horse which netted me nothing so can't really qualify as Piracy.

In that single day my forces looted 5544T Dark Matter Units. I would like to thank all that made contributions some of you were multiple contributors and that is truly commendable, since it is such a worthy cause. A special note of thanks to Psicolix for my biggest act of Piracy yet.

Honorable mention to General Cote {Omega} who paid the price in both turns and planets to kill my Supra Subjugator Systems and some of my assassins as well. Those who pay the price get special notice in future hunting campaigns as several of you already know. I feel it is good to show how much your turns spent against my planets mean to me, so I spend some of mine on you as well, even if you don't meet the minimum donation requirements. My losses were more then 250M planets. KGC would have gladly paid the price, but you were quicker.

To all the community, I wish a good night or good day as the situation dictates,

well good luck on your escapades :)

I'm shocked why you dont post your ID to get yourself more targets as I'm sure people would love to make friends with you :D

not wanting to make your "tactic" seem unfair but we are currently trying to get suggestions as ways to stop such things happening... as its too "easy" to be a sniper account on ascended...

Re: A day in the life of a Pirate

You think it is wrong to build a bigger strike then someone's defense to steal their DMU? What game are you playing?

And my ingame name is the same on Ascended and Main. My ID is well known. Not worried about future friends, looking forward to it.

Man this is the reason why i blow ppls heads off in ascn with my sniping account, god dam! you and your "group" are a total buzz kill, ive decide im going after your account next to vent some anger if you think its a poor reason, all i can say is.... well there not my feelings.

In all honestly you think im going to build a def for ppl to pimp slap me in ascn F*** NO!, i know full well i can not win against so many players im only 1 player, all i can do is use my head and play the way it was meant to play for me anyways.

That is the price you pay, for being high ranked and having DMU like a prostitute asking to be raped of DMU, like look at fremen 5.5 QUADS of DMU. Don't be a dumbass to leave that much DMU out, you know the risk of leaving that much DMU out.

Man if i wasnt into account bashing i join fremen too and rob ppl blind, but i get a kick out of massing accounts

Thats my rant!

Dead_Horse, if I had the turns I would sabotage you to your hearts content. Or build my strike high enough to mass you, or pay the price in planets and assassinate you. I don't see how you are preventing me from attacking you. I still get a rank mod with my attack weapons. Just not with my saboteurs since I have the superior covert force.

Anyone with 500 free turns and 500 free planets could sabotage you in the state you were in on the 28th. So maybe next time I will save you some turns special, since you got left out this time. Although you have not often shown yourself in my logs, so you are not worth the bother, yet.

The Rook either has too little income or logs in too often, so we have not crossed swords and I accept your good wishes in the first line.

Oh i know that i can be sabbed to dead, but when it comes down to it, ANYONE can be taken down. Sabbing just isnt' that effective. Sure you don't lose planet, but at the end of the day, which is more important to you, Turns or planets,

For me it's the turns, since I've Got tons of planets, and i'm only getting a minor amout of my total UP. So losing plaents doesn't bother me.

Re: A day in the life of a Pirate

I look through pages 1 through whatever rank 1200+ falls on.

Haven't seen many worthwhile hits past that rank. So just to let all the little guys know. Unless you manage to leave out as much DMU as a page 1 type player then you will be unlikely to face me in combat. If you want to know how much this DMU is ask around for what amount I have hit your richest friend.

And that was by far my best day. I kept coming back and found that no one had gotten around to massing me, so it was time for another round of attacks. Did that 5 or 6 times through the day. My keepers must have had some unscheduled vacation.

If anyone has a bigger combat stat then my attack enhancement, then shoot me a pm. We can have some sort of contest.

I'm not in a "group" im not at 2 bill planets... yet I get hit by snipers for as little as 20-25 trill dmu...

now I know there are targets with MUCH MUCH more DMU... yet I'm hit and I'm not going to train ALL of my armysize into defenders purely to stop them blasting over my defence... I dont really attack people on ascended 90% of the time I have 2k AT...

I rely on my own growth to grow and it does me well... the thing that annoys me is that people just build a strike take the naq and then sit there for 1 week maybe 2 and come back and do it again...

I think its fine if I'm hit maybe once a week... but there isn't just one person who does this... and I cant compete with someone who gets 5 quint dmu once a week... I only make about 600trill dmu a week...

now I dont want to go down the route of doing it purely for growth to be fair I dont see the point in why people do it... its not as if they will be able to play their ascended account... whenever they build something people who have been annoyed by them in the past will come in and rip it down...

I believe over 50% of the "snipers" do it purely because they think "HAH, I can hit the biggest people in the game and they cant do anything... AHAHAHAHAHA I'm so good..."

but at the same time they are just ruining the game for other people who play... who take on all aspects of the game...

I got repeated visits by a sniper... who had huge assassin, strike, charisma, production and I started descending them... they came on after about 6 hours (so no chance to get them descended) next time they hit me... would you look at that... 1 weeks (1-2 turns) worth of farming and their ascended being is far far far stronger than mine...

How are people ever supposed to play and enjoy ascended server if people keep doing such a tactic in the end everyone is going to become a sniper and the server will die... thats a fact... then everyone can sit there with their 1000+ strik level and hit people with 0 defence as its pointless building them... the armysize 5x's idea helps but not enough... someone with 500mill armysize (all trained as strike) will come along and I'd need 2.5mill armysize to stop them hitting me... and I know I cant keep up with their growth (44mil/day) when they are on over 75mill/day

Re: A day in the life of a Pirate

I don't spend all my turns once every two weeks. I have looted more then 5000T since the 28th for example. I try not to hit people for as little as 25 trillion, because turns are worth more then that to me. Your criticism seems to be similar to any stat builder on main. If the pirates and snipers are having fun and you are not, maybe it is time to try a different style of play. Get your alliance into a war and use your turns to build your account rather then just using them to tear down other accounts. Or pick a single player and farm them 10 times a day. It has got to be a better return then nothing and massing someone always costs you and your target.

For all those that are interested in how to do what I do. Start small and expect to get massed. I get hit anywhere from 3-10 times a week. Only train planets that you are willing to lose. If you want to spend all your turns in a single session, that is how I started. Start with investment to growth, then attack and assassin stats. If you have weak personal combat skills then login often until you build them to a point where you can defend yourself without babysitting your account.

There was also a time where I would pick a single account to farm. I would assassinate them until I could farm them freely and then do so until they came online.

Whether you want to use a single attack turn to probe defenses or stay covert and recon them. It is up to you. It is your account and there is much loot out there. 25 trillion is too small for me now, but it was what I started with. I have a few months head start on you so don't be surprised if it is hard to catch up in a week or a month.

Have fun everyone.
