no offense. nobody can get everything right all the time ...
for 'big screen resolution' it almost requires a % size opposed to fixed size...
but...
to do that there can be no image map. has to be buttons. and buttons dont resize...

but then the smaller screen size makes it too small if it is a % of a small value to start with...

maybe thats the option -- % or fixed size... user choice..

i will talk more with the graphics guy to see if there is a way...to keep functionality but still keep a better looking image...

nobody is disagreeing that functionality is more important than the look...well - not me at least

(and now that i have options for nav, maybe low res version not too far off....will ahve to see ...)

really like the new sidebars, but i wish we could keep the old bank/turns/naq thingy, maybe its just wierd having it the same for over 2 years then having it change, lol


Oh, and can some1 post what a Tauri, tollan, asgard, goauld, system lords, and replis sidebars look like? or do they all look the same?

Could you put in a table for the mian nav section?
Can set it so if the user wants the image it overlay the table

I love the change it was better then what was there, i just prefer simple.

to be honest i havent seem them in game yet, only on the dev server. i know about the 24"+ problem but i use 2 24" and a 30 and it seems fine to me.

i only just got word yesterday that admin had put them on dev and well hes gone live now. mainly to gather some feedback. list ur issues and i'll do my best to comprimise.

Version 1 was horrible. 'Coolness' went up, functionality went down the toilet. Perhaps it looked great on the authors screen, but please think of the higher resolution people. The buttons and text were almost impossible to read with 24+ inch monitors. Looking cool while destroying functionally is a fail.

Now with the quick fix update by forums (I dub thee version 1.1) with clearer text, it looks better. Buttons since unchanged..

When is the 'low bandwidth mode coming? Hopefully soon with the UI changes ..

I'm running a 24" on 1920X1200 and it looks perfectly fine to me.

from update, like the size, but now there are 2 many boxes around everything. i liked it without the boxes. thank u for making the text size a bit bigger

I don't see a problem with them. Initially I was disorientated for a second or two but after that it's all good

I usually run at a 1920x1200 too, and I have seen it at the 800x600, 1024x768, and 1280x1024 sizes. My initial reaction might have been extreme but I still think some points are valid. I looked at the 'ancient' with buttons and it looks a lot better; See for yourself.

Although not sure on the bank thing, but i'll get used to it.

Would it be possible (For those with problems with their screen and can't read it) to have the button text bold? That would make it easier to read?

you do know that the previous bank text is smaller than the one on the new graphics, right?

also, you can change the text size your browser shows... method for doing so varies from browser to browser...

I know, but the art makes it harder to find, and changing it on the browser changes everything and im happy with my normal writing size its just the bank and naq is to small and rather hard to glance at (looks insignificant)

Admin have already made the text for the bank etc larger after we all requested it, and it is now fine.

If you don't like it then revert back.
