I though the 'movie'/'backdoor pilot' was terrible. Here's why:
The guy who plays Mike Traceur doesn't know how to act. Neither does his lanky sidekick who has no visible purpose in the whole movie. In fact I didn't see any good acting from anyone ... in the entire movie. I didn't like that the hero was a former US Ranger. I liked the old premise that the hero would avoid using violence.
The plot to steal the platform(software?) that controls the US military weapons is being done by a group of people who don't seem to have anymore resources at their disposal than a group of bank robbers would. Even this, if someone were trying to steal such software the highest level of police that would be investigating it would be the FBI?
The car seemed to be a rip of the same type shown in the "Viper" series, and that was a mustang? I like the Shelby Cobra Mustang but even if they wanted an American muscle car how about a newer spin like using a Camaro, Corvette, Charger, or go old school and use a GTO. I think the Mustang has been over used in movies. The car in the image (above) doesn't even have the body of the Cobra Mustang.
Honestly, they almost destroyed some of my childhood memories. I need to purchase the old series and watch it to my hearts content.
This showing was just terrible. Just plain bad. For 2 hours from start to finish there probably wasn't more than 90 minutes of actual film.
1/10 stars ... one star for having the Hoff at the end. If there was more Hoff I think the movie would have been better, and I'm no big fan of the Hoff.
