well ive finished ascending right so i dont really have a use for my g&r atm unless i feel like ascending again. but as we know with no major major wars going on atm its harder for the small guys to get into g&r range,
1. i could just go around randomly massing ppl in g&r range or;
2. we could have a button on the main page to not recieve g&r therefore we still keep the same rank but the width of the g&r you could say increases, most of us know that the g&r range is like 1200 or was around that last time i ascended, if say 200-300 ppl in g&r range wernt planning on ascending again and turned off this button on their base page then the range of g&r would go up 200-300 ranks so instead of ppl wanting to ascend having to get under rank 1200 they would only have to get under rank 1500, lets face it for the newer players its pritty hard to get under 1200 with only like 3mill men.
so ye just post ideas or comments here i was just thinking about it couse im helping a friend of mine ascend now thats all.

from our estimate, the g&r range is now at 1522... so its unneccesary to remove people from it by coding extra stuff...

Nothing will ever change with G&R, Admin have said this themselves, so why bother thinking up new ideas for it?
G&R stands for = GLORY and REPUTATION.
You have to earn it. Everyone that is currently in G&R range or has been in it in the past earned their way to it, why make it easier for those that can't earn their way up to it?

How about when an alliance enters a war they do not gain G&R, after all its not a very glorious or reputable thing to be in a war. That would then leave those positions open for others to gain their G&R.

I dont care how they go with updates and such but I would like to see the ability to transfer to another. Like the 1 time option to transfer for SS. I dont know about others but I have friends who start but are severely hampered by that option. While I have thousands sitting around useless and this would make it more enjoyable for new players.

For god's sake! Glory and Reputation - the clue is in the name!! You cannot transfer those things! And, as I said in your 'starting army size' thread - it is as easy as it has ever been to get into and maintain G&R ranks (I did it within 2 months of starting afresh in September, with very little raiding, losing more naq than I've stolen, and I've also been away from the game for over 2 months since I restarted and am still in G&R range with very (VERY) little effort) because all of the updates that have been brought in.
It honestly isn't difficult - and it's certainly easier than it used to be.

I'd say winning a war is definate cause for Glory and Reputation to be awarded. The system could be tweaked so that the winners in a war receive the losers G&R at the end of the war, on top of their own. The difficulty is that when wars start up, most people generally ditch their defence and drop ranks.
The other way would be to do what you said - when alliances enter a war, all members of that alliance cannot receive G&R for the duration of the war. Then when the war ends - the winning side (all members) receives G&R (equivalent to what they would have got if they were within G&R range) and the losing side doesn't (if they were in range or not). The only problem would be that something would have to be coded in to ensure that BOTH sides are fighting properly, to avoid it being abused (say, a minimum amount of damage has to be done, based on alliance sizes and powers, and that the difference between damage done by both sides should be within a certain (relative) amount). If this could be done, then it could actually give wars a reason as those outside of G&R range, and who find it hard to get into it (although I can't see why), would be fighting for something.

How about this, if its not broke dont fix it, the current GnR system is working fine, as was stated the rank for GnR at the moment is around 1500, ANYONE can get under 1500 rank.
