If I trade whatever for "1/2 market supporter status/bonus", what does that really get me?

It doesn't work, you have to do a 2x trade for that. And that will get your market supporter status which allows you to use that limited ingame market and gives you a 48 hour PPT.

before you accept the trade it says the numbers 1-5 in a scroll down box at the bottom of the page, just put in 2

Actually it's one tenth through five but its default is at one.

below the "In Return For...." drop down menu is the words; Select Quantity of Packages to Trade, and Confirm, just below this is "How many multiples" and a drop down menu select the amount of multiples you wish to recive and the check box the box below and hit confirm.

NOTE: if you select more then a multiple of 1 then you will have to EXCHANGE that many multiples as well.
