Raiding...

Was having a conversation with someone about raiding, and was exchanging average stolen, he mentioned that he targets 180K UU or more in the open and only steals 2800 on average. I had explained that he should be getting more like 3500-4000 on average with that amount in the open (course the anount drops with the number, but that isnt the point). And he/she thought that I had been fibbing. I explained that if you declare war on the target being raided that you would steal this much. Again I was told I was wrong. I copy pasted the information from a calc with the formula as 180k UU in the open with neutral settings, and 15AT (average 2700), then did it again with war (average 4,050), and again with both sides war (average 5,400) . and again they refused to belive me...

So I said fine, Ill make a post in the forums so everyone else that raids can confirm that I am correct. And you can check it tomorrow.

Aah.. now i see where the confusion was arising. I didnt mean targets with 180k UU out, i meant i was averaging 180UU:1 AT overall when raiding, with individual hits of 2800 average. Obviously this varies with time of day etc, etc.

Perhaps it is possible i have completely made the most fundamental error in judgement for almost 2 whole years of raiding here, but my experience tells me otherwise. Many times I have raided people with both war and neutral declared, and the results in termed of UU gained seem to be very similar. I still believe, until proven otherwise, that declaring war makes as little difference on raid hauls as it does naq hauls - which is none. If I am wrong... i dont even want to think how much i have wasted.

Acctually I tested this. I used to declare war all the time when raiding. The Dean_S mentioned to me he only declares war on the good targets for an easy list, and I got into this with him about whether war acctually effects the amount of UU stolen, And I hit about 20 different targets with both neutral and war, and got pretty much the same amount of UU each time. I switched between whether I hit them with war or neutral declared first to get a fairer result as obviously the amount stolen decreases with each hit. (in general )

SGC used to tell me that it does make a difference when you declare war. And he was theee master raider, until he found bad means to get naq and uu, or whatever he did

i was raiding in the last 6 moths from when miliatary exeprience appeared like 260 mil uu
i never declared war and this from first recons on the difference
conclusion was that is not a difference
i hope i wasn't wrong and losiing alot of uu

well when u declare war..and when there a s sucessful hit u get way more uu than u are supposed to get per hit.. just try about 10hit son a guy with 180kuu out u will get 500 the n400 then 4500 then 2700...

but wat i hate is even when the guy has 180kuu out when i declare war and hit him i get about only 2700 uu per hit for like 3 times in a row then i increase to 3400k per hit.. and rarely get about 4k uu per hit.. even when the guy has 180k uu outside.
