This is unfortunately the most lopsided wave I think I've ever been part of, maybe I should just start massing omegans myself to make it more interesting... =P

Deno just went from 210k to 55k army... So much for overtraining.

Could someone define "overtraining' for me?

Depends on the mood of the masser
But having 170k spies with 210k army will get you massed...

Generally speaking it's foolish to have more than 3-4 days UP worth of UU tried up in killable troops, save that for the last turn of the wave, until then it's all about conserving what you haveDrDread wrote:lilith wrote:So many people having fun this wave![]()

Indeed, keep your units as miners atm so you can make more naq, get more up and other stuff to get more naq, etc. etc. etc.

Re: Bloody Sunday
The idea I have been following is about 15% for Spies and 15% for Defense Supers with 70% miners.
Is that reasonable or are there better thoughts on a typical setup?

Re: Bloody Sunday
It really depends on your playing habits. Having 15% of your army in def makes no sense if you mass/get massed alot, or if you can only log in once a day to bank. You would lose way too many UU. If you could, theoretically, be on 24/7 you wouldn't need a def at all.. And then there is the question of how much income are you willing to lose and how much you can farm back with your strike etc.
It's a balancing game, you have to work out what % works best for you.

Re: Bloody Sunday
Only time spies are safe are in old skool waves
Outside of that, all bets are off. Never train more than you need. Remember, Quantum isn't about who is ranked at the top with a month, week or even a day before the end, it's about who is at the top when the server resets. Everything before that should be preparing yourself for that one moment.

Re: Bloody Sunday
Indeed. Never have more of any stat than you need, the rest should be going to techs/up/happiness(this wave).
Never have more than a day's UP trained in spies, I prefer closer to half a day since this wave we get the happy bonus to UP. For instance I have about 40k total UP right now, I have 20k spies. When you end up having a bad covert with more spies trained than your total UP, get more levels/techs.
Defense - train up troops until you aren't farmable anymore. Then, if people start to be able to farm you, increase techs. Train up more troops only as your UP grows, don't have more than a day's UP in defense if it can be helped. If you're vs very big strike players you can get more as is necessary, but the most important thing is to hold your income at all costs, because then you can really start growing.
The exception to the above rule would be if you don't have enough army size to maintain a top defense and make more money per turn than the average farm size. No point in having rank 5 defense with a tiny income. That money would be better spent in UP.
Mothership - the ultimate naq sink. My personal opinion is that if you're getting routinely hit by players with motherships strong enough to break your shields and you can't do anything about it, don't bother having a mothership with more than a handful of weapons and shields for farming. If you're a decent size you should have a mothership that can at least absorb the damage from most motherships in the game. Make sure their motherships aren't adding to defense or attack. If you're like me and can beat the crap out of most motherships in the game, do NOT make more shields than is needed to keep your weapons safe from damage. Make as many weapons as economical, and beef your techs. This will maximize your damage and avoid excess losses while farming. Mothership shields are far more expensive than repairs or troop retraining unless you're losing a lot of supers.
Strike - this depends on your playing style. Players with incomes smaller than the average naq hit should be focusing on this above all other stats as it will be your key to getting more naq faster. Larger players generally should keep a large one for massing/hitting other top players/rank/sniping big hits. However, if you don't like having big strikes, you don't have to have one. I feel that no more than a handful of supers is necessary and the rest should be mercs. Mercs cost nothing to replace and the extra weapon cost is made up for the extra miners you get from not losing UU to supers. Also, I think strike techs are for the majority of the game the most important tech, as they decrease repairs and needed strike weapons to farm and allow you to use mercs more effectively.
