Well I am officially done finding cheaters and scammers in this game.
There are clearly quite a few people who don't like what I am doing.

Scamming may not be against the rules (unless there is also cheating involved), but it is still not a nice thing to happen to some one, and I had already prevented quite a few people from being scammed because of the information that I knew and because of my warnings on this forum.

But it seems that Auriel thinks that people should not warn people about scammers on this forum publicly. She seems to think it should be Admin who makes the decision on whether warnings should be made in public. But then scamming isn't against the rules so why would Admin bother himself with that when he's got so much more to be doing?

I've received a lot of abuse for trying to make the game a little safer and to help people from falling victim to these sad people.

I have had fun finding these scammers, and believe me the majority of them aren't very bright.

But if what I'm going to receive in return is abuse from some members of this community then why should I bother.

To those of you who don't like what I was doing, I hope that one day you yourself will fall victim to a scam ingame, and I hope that it turns out that the scam may have been prevented if I had passed over information that I have or may obtain.

To those that supported what I was doing, thank you for your support. A lot of you did help me, and many offered help in finding these scammers. I'm sorry it has come to this, but clearly some members of this community want scammers to roam this game.

So to everyone, good luck ingame and watch out for those scammers.... everyone is a target.

Oh and i'm not leaving so don't move this to quitting... i'm just hanging up my mack on scammers.

I would say that it's expected that Auriel of all people says that, but then again, I hardly know what I'm talking about.

Clarkey - I think it's an admirable thing that you've been doing with your own time, and a benefit to the community as a whole. It's sad to see that you're giving it up, but that's your choice.

Hmm I wonder why she would think that? Any ideas they seem to escape me at the moment.

Just ignore her, everything she posts is just pointless trash to make her feel good but all it does it turn more people off her, which I personally think is good. If she wants the majority of the community to hate her then keep it up as its working.

Keep doing what you do, you do a great job and have helped changed the way this is done.

It's a war game - and war isn't nice, which is why scamming resources isn't against the rules.

However, although those that scam resources shouldn't be reported as cheats in the cheating section, there's no reason an individual cannot pursue a 'vendetta' against them.....

You obviously misinterpreted my words, and are overreacting. If you were me, I'd say "get some chocolate, sit back, and read how I explain to you what I said, as it is far more favourable than you apparently gathered".

Given the enormous amount of people falling for scammers without you warning them about those people; (this amount of people I classed as half-wits.. I forgot that you would need extensive explanation of the chosen terminology..) your 'job' is invaluable. I believe I said that too?

So to the majority, your job is invaluable. That's great, and if you're having fun at it, by all means, keep doing it. My lashing out of last night's was caused by the repetitiveness of you and Orion accusing ~Artanis~. It isn't like there's anything personal going on.. nor do I structurally disapprove of your functioning. That accusations against ~Artanis~ were my only reason from speaking up. Much like Chris M states, the risk of innocents being caught in the crossfire.

Great Scott. Next time someone says they disagree with me on something I did, I'll quit doing that too. Oh wait.. that would mean I should quit breathing given the feelings of some. No, you shouldn't quit doing what you're doing.. the majority benefits from it. Those that do not need not care, unless their friends become mingled in accusations.

Grow a spine, grow up, learn the meaning of sticking to your guns and being a man, and stop creating threads to get some sympathy.

I certainlly would not let any of this stop me from doing what I want to do. SO the question begs to be asked, why the hell are you?

At the end of the day, people are never missed for the person, just the function they performed (cheat buster, father, admin, mod, technition..yadda yadda.)

If you had the day that I had earlier and then come on here to see people hurling abuse at me just because i'm trying to help people then maybe you'd go off on one 'irrationally' on the forum. Maybe I was a bit hasty but starting this thread, but I was not in a good mood at all due to other personal things. Normally I try to keep away from places like this when i'm in a bad mood... my mistake that I didn't this time.

And thanks to those that have spoken to me and urged me to keep doing what I do.

Therefore I will continue.
