In short, I can't rename beacons

Renaming Planet Beacons..
When I go to rename a planet beacon, it will give me the standard: 'The beacon is now labelled...' message. However when I look for the new name in the beacon name list, it is not there and it appears the change wasn't successful.
In short, I can't rename beacons Anyone else having this problem?
