Random Planet Attacks

Wouldn't it be kind of cool, if, at random, when someone abandons a planet, they use their mothership to simply fling it out of their system in a random trajectory, and it could randomly enter someone's system and do some SERIOUS damage to them or one of their planets, or-costing one HELL of a lot of money, they could fling it out in a specific trajetory to smash it into a target's planet. They could maybe block it, or evade it, or something, but it would cost a lot for both sides to do either action. Any thoughts?

LOL! But given the vastness of space it would take BLOODY AGES for the planet to randomly enter someone else's realm.
