eh?
THE ACCOUNTS WHICH COULD BE DELETED WOULD HAVE 5K ARMY SIZE AND ALSO BE INACTIVE. THEY DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH RESOURCE GENERATION TO HELP ANYBODY. . .AT ALL. THEY GET WHAT LIKE 580MIL NAQ PER MONTH? WHO COULD THAT REALISTICALLY HELP?
dude have you read the previous posts?

now you want inactive account deletion twice a year; and that this deletion is only limited to inactive accounts that will not benefit you?

Re: Delete Inactive Accounts [part 2]
the vote has spoken. 'Delete all inactives over 6 months old with under 5k army' is the most popular choice. note that people wanting deletion were nearly twice as many as those against it.
i was thinking that this could become a regular thing. like if any account thats been inactive for 6months and is under 5k army will automatically be deleted. i dont know how easy this is to do so maybe admin could say. . .
deleting all inactives is bad as it takes away accounts that small players need to grow. someone with 100mil army generates their own income where as smaller people need to farm, raid etc. deleting no accounts is also bad as way too many inactives would build up. this is why i think there should be something inbetween these two options. deleting accounts, but only certain ones.
no, this deletion is limited to inactive accounts that will not benefit anyone.
seeing as the votes over, and there was a clear winner, could admin take a look at this? maybe give opinions, answers, information or whatever? thanks

by deleting accounts over 3 months old with under 5k total army many useless accounts can be cleared away. this will get rid of accounts started by people who never returned after creating them.
i highly doubt anyone will have under 5k army after 3 months if they actually play the game. and if there are a few people who wish to return and continue its not at all hard for them to get past 5k.
all opinions welcome. cheers

22. Deleting Inactive Accounts. The Game Admins are fully aware there are inactive accounts folks! No need to tell us every day in the forum.

Re: Delete Inactive Accounts [part 2]
yep i now see they are 'fully aware' but this deletion suggestion is a specific thing. its not a delete all inactives campaign, its a delete some inactives campaign.
its basically targeted at accounts that were abandoned right after their creation. i think having a regular system by which these pointless accounts are deleted (automatically?) would be a good thing. if such a system already exists maybe someone could post details. . .?
it seems that a lot of the useless accounts are over 6months old. . . if there is a system wouldnt they be deleted?
as i said before i dont know how easy this would be to do so some comment from admin etc would be appreciated. cheers

Re: Delete Inactive Accounts [part 2]
wow. i was considering a name change. while checking various names to see if they existed already, i found that many of them did. the good names were mostly taken by inactive accounts that are pointless. a lot of the names i tried are common and would be used if the inactives weren't taking them up.
this adds another reason for deleting the inactive accounts. for all those people with extended names (due to short versions being used up) you would have a chance to get the name you actually want, instead of some longer variation that you dont.

I don't want them deleted , the G&R rank will fall endlessly

Re: Delete Inactive Accounts [part 2]
From what I've been told, they aren't counting.
Heck, if they did, G&R is calculated something like top 0.1 or sth like this, we would have G&R at 7k rank lol

Re: Delete Inactive Accounts [part 2]
it's already been said that ACTIVE accounts are used to calculate G&R range, and yeah, i say the 6 months one, and i'd also agree on possibly a program that auto does it if that wouldn't be too hard

Requirements: To ascend you need a minimum of 1000 Glory and Reputation (G & R) points. These points are gained by being in the top 2% of all players in the rankings. (The top 2% of active players, so this number may be slightly different than multiplying the lowest rank by 2%)
So 2% of 90k is : (90k /50) = 1.8k , not 7k
They mean with active players , the not banned players or non frozen players i guess...

Re: Delete Inactive Accounts [part 2]
yeh they dont count towards GnR, they give no resources, they do nothing useful.
i really dont understand why they are allowed to remain at all. is it to make it look like sgw has more players than there actually are? i dont know man all i know is they are like a cassette tape in a cd player. they have no purpose being there and should be thrown away forvever.
im not a computer expert but surely it cant be hard to set things up so accounts are automatically deleted 6 months after creation if they dont meet an army size target (5k, 10k or whatever). when i started an email account it told me to be active soon or face deletion. i was sloth like in my speed and my account vanished. this would be good to have for sgw.
i was thinking to change my name so i jus typed in another random bunch of potentials. id say over 50% of the ones i tried were owned by inactives under 10k army.
meh SSDD. nothing will be done about this. eventually there will be a million accounts with, maybe, a few actives called oneil47u8327837 or ^$^$£a@sgard^$6 or dark_m OnkeyNo.381294729 etc. pointless.com/here

Re: Delete Inactive Accounts [part 2]
remove some of them at the very least. hell it should be done on a monthly basis to keep the server running more efficiently. it could be automated to run at a certain time each night. i'm sure most people would happily agree to 1 turn change being laggy rather than all of the turn changes being laggy.
this is the only business model i've ever seen where its ok for the server to be inaccessible 6% to 13% of the time(2mins/30mins to 4/30). The turn lag is just about unbearable as it is now.
either delete a good chunk of inactives or find a server that doesn't suck
oh G+R is around rank 1800 now so that calc is right
