how can someone hack an account...

this is the wrong forum for that type of question. generally speaking (and quite oversimplified) when most people complain of having their account "hacked" it means someone wither guessed their password or stole it, as anyone who actually "hacked" the server wouldn't bother with peoples accounts, other than their own really...

lol i didnt mean it like that, i only meant like how people say taht some1 hacked me, but that is impossible.. because if it wasnt, then it would mean that the game isnt safe,..

btw, if u get key logged or something, u gotta remember that, its not called hacking.. its just keylogging.. which is actually the typer's foult

most times when a person claims to be "hacked" is that they either forgot or mistyped their password, or someone guessed it or stole it (shoulder surfing). As for the game being "safe". We can presume that admin does what he can to keep it "safe" but it is impossible to have a server online and 100% safe. I don't know the specifics as admin has never said for me to do any tests, and I wont even scan a server without permission.

As for keyloggers, they are not the fault of the person typing. I'd hate to call them a hack (if thats all there was to it anyways), but they are commonly implemented by script kiddies.

the other thing that I don't know how it affects planets is if theres a dual, and the name has ";" in it (that causes the line breaks) I don't know how it would show up. but yes, at this point I'd suggest admin take a look into it.

technically /n does, ; is just the end of a line of code (generally)

Keylogging is usually done by way of trojans. Therefore it is not really the victims fault as not all trojans get picked up by antivirus software or firewalls.

though some keyloggers are installed by trojans a lot of the ones I've seen are installed mnaully or are the hardware type... (hardware type is immune to anti-malware suites ) but yeah, you cant blame the person except for lax user security... but i'm all for requiring a license before letting the idiots onto the net anyway...

Neksus is someone with a long standing reputation.. I don't know him exactly well but I do know he isn't a cheater. I've talked to him before and he was hacked so that part of the story does check out. If admin was there to restore his account, I'm sure admin would know about him cheating.
