Very limited number of turns....each strike had to be very, very well coordinated....and it was all about the sabbing power too

Now its just, buy some turns, mass their def, AC their spies, and sab their attack....*note to self: ms massing occurs in there somewhere too*

Major wars took a great deal of planning to use your limited AT and covert turns effectively.

No. The changes over the years have just brought about different strategies and tactics to how war is conducted.

It is a little natural to reminisce over good times regardless whether they were actually better or not.

For anyone that was around in the very first stages of the game, you'd not even consider the likes of EtL (who was much later), the likely candidates for the first massing would be someone like Plumbersmack, Fox, or even Psi Kiya Trist. Not to mention Goo and THE SAZ. Wolf359 has been about since well, the beginning of time too, just to mention.

I'm sure admin'll dig out his old logs from 2005 and let us all know if you ask him nicely.

A long time since this whole fickle thing started, and like the game itself, in all it's numerical exponentiallity, my amazement at why people actually play continues.

if i remember correctly, the "massing" idea came from goo, the3rdlibra at the time, with 1 turn attacks, and it was a TA member that got massed, cant remember if it was Concour, Brothercrit or Opti, i dont even think there were alliances ingame at the time, but it existed already outside the game

most ppl, used sabbing more, cause there were no sabbing turns, and sabbing could take everything, really everything you had, i got destroyed a couple of times, lol

and since at's were limited, most ppl, used it for farming the enemy
