Pathetic messages: Don't retaliate/Not welcome in our logs

Greetings from Gibraltar! I'm sailing tomorrow, but I thought I'd login just to share these gems!!

They aren't swearing, or even nasty - just a tad pathetic!

The first one was from MajorLeeHurts - Forgotten Serenity: It stated that they were aware that one of their members had attacked me:

Sir I must inform you that we are in a war I am aware of an attk on you by our member and would ask that you would refrain from retaliation while we are at war. I believe this is the best for both of us atm and would encourage you to contact me rather than be labeled a vulture or start any conflict.

Now, what is wrong with that? Well - first off, this whole vulturing thing - when will people give it a rest? It is yet another thing that has grown out of teh game being too easy - sometimes people can only hit back when you're at war! They've been attacked - big deal, man-up and get on with it (oh, and before you start issuing such warnings - check all you know about your member - see below..).

Second, the only person they can be referring to is SATAN666 (aka AGA), who recently massed me for (and I quote) "no reason - I just felt like it", and who frequntly attacks/raids members of my alliance (and half the members of almost every other alliance I am led to believe!). So, sorry FS, I reserve the right to hit him back if and when I can, whether you are at war or not. Frankly, it was remiss of you to accept such a member, given that many people in many alliances have disagreements/issues with him.

The second one is quite funny too, and possibly one of teh most pathetic ever:

Otherwise, stop the moanining and let people enjoy the game - instead of issuing veiled threats whenever anybody dares to attack your members in-game (shock-horror!).

lol - that is not the issue - and since I neither have the time nor inclination at the moment it is irrrelevant (and since from tomorrow I will have no access for over 2 weeks, I've gone into vacation) - the issue is the message, apparently telling me (and others) that we shouldn't retaliate because you are at war. Where do these dan 'rules' come from.....

It's all a bit playground mentality.

lol - I hear ya! - you too chargin! but it doesn't mean I need to agree or accept it - besides, if people are to send me such messages, then they should expect that I am going to discuss it and rip it apart/expose it for the crud/double standard that it is. After all, if their members cannot sort things out for themselves (and in that regard, I have to say, SATAN/AGA, generally does) does that imply they are simply hiding behind the tag? And is sending threats out against retaliation a massive (and largely pathetic/cowardly) double standard? Double standards I can accept - but not pathetic/cowardly ones.

Wolf, you were once leader of EPA, including when it was in the grand alliance. I got such messages like that all the time back then, including from members within your own alliance. The game hasn't changed a bit. Atleast in the 2 years I have been playing.
