I have to agree, I'm well outside the perg limits but back in the day I loved farming in perg and would have hated to have to choose between perg and ascension but I think perg can be abused.

Possibly making it that if you are in perg in main you can only attack ascended accounts linked to main accounts in perg? This idea is still open to abuse but less easily.

1) Nope, although I understand the reason, I totally disagree. That idea about 'purgatory in ascended', although it's bad, is way better then this.

I think the ascended cap is pretty good.

Granted, I'm not one of the largest players... I'm currently growing at 57%. A lot less than most, a bit more than some. As far as I have been able to tell the cap only affects the large players who generally are the vocal minority.

I could see keeping a 25% minimum of your CER, so that you don't slow down too much...

However, tying main army size to ascended is not good. Many persons are massed both in main and ascended for single DMU hit (which is another topic altogether). And even if you have someone who manages to keep a main account in decent shape there is no reason to penalize them in ascended for not having played main as long, or for not having as many NAP's. I'm actually of the opinion that ascended should be able to influence your main realm more (once again a topic for another post).

In any case, from this discussion:
Let there be a 25% minimum growth.
Let us re-evaluate descension. (I believe that merits its own thread as it is a very complicated issue).
Let us redo assassination. It is extremely overpowered. (Of course that makes it easier for the snipers, just so you all know).

How is keeping 25% cer going to help anyone in the same situation as me ?

i made 32 mil planets a day befor i got hit and that was if i remember correct 34% of my cer , there is no way i'm going to get more by having a minimum of 25%.

Lose the caps , make ascending more profitable as the game gets older , and the new players wil get more out of an ascention then we did dus giving them a chance to catch up faster.

Next thing you know everyone over 5 bil planets wil be frosen in time by a miracle and the minus 2 bil ppl wil get there CER multiplyed by 2 so they can catch up , i see no reason to keep the cap , Jason is only implimenting it cos he thinks ppl wil lose interest in ascention , if it was so why do ppl stil start playing main every day , cos they know if they put there back in to it they can grow to be a big player in a not so long time. Same apply's for ascention , if you go for big ascentions you can stil be meaningfull in a relative short period.

Just dont forget , the small player from last month is now the medium player only getting 50% , wonder wat you wil think next month ...

keeping a minimum of 25% as psicolix has calculated would add at each level. so yes, you would be getting more ;)

as for making ascensions more profitable, my first ever ascension got me enough LF to get all my levels above 100... Sitting now at eag, I don't think that making ascensions any more profitable is fair. and honestly, i dont think its necessary. anyone who works at it can have a decent acount...

and I realize I'm not one of the biggest accounts, but i still think that the cap is fair... or if not fair at least just. removing the cap wont hurt the snipers, all it will do is increase the power imbalance.

as for what I will think next month... well,i'll probably be growing at about this same rate next month...

When you fight on ascended you don't have to worry about growing too fast, or dealing with the plague... It's one of the side effects of not having a big tag or big main account...

Most important change for ascended is to make people who go on vac mode in main also go on vac mode in Ascended. You get penalised doing it the other way around, why not both ways?

Yeah I think the 2 Billion planet cap should be gone completely. I mean I currently have around 2 Billion now. And whenever I am massed I can recover in about 10 days. So the cap should either be moved up or be taken away completely. I mean how can players grow when they reach 2 Billion planets their CER decreases. Cause within a week I went from around 96 Million planets a day to 73 Million planets a day. I mean I just wasted all the DMU I put into my CER.

I still think the cap should stay... there are some other issues with gameplay, but the cap is good... And yes,last week I was losing over a hundred mil/day (currently losing 75 mil/day) from it... So this isn't a small person saying that. If you take it off you're just going to have untouchable players, and snipers that are even bigger than they are now.

the only way the cap can come off is if that is tied in to a major update that would have other types of controls.

i think the best solution is what i suggested ages ago - divide all numbers (excluding costs) by 10 and then increae all costs by * 10

ne new player with 1 mil spare uu in main can get to the 2 bil caps in a month with next to no work so its rediculas the cap needs to be either mlike the main one or got rid of all together
