Admin meetings !! Can I be heard for Once?

Can I be heard for once? How do you know I would like to have this game update? Can I be heard for once?

If you dont know there basically 2 sides of stargate wars.
Your either TLE or FUALL for the most part. Ive been able to make 1 meeting ONE since the meetings have taken place since they are on the same day at the same time I will NEVER be able to be at one unless it rains that day during the meetings. Mix the meetings up during the week . If you want a voice send out an ingame pm to us to vote would you like or dislike thats the voice you want . Not the same joes that are able to attend the samed day same time . There NOT MY VOICE.

100% agree with Killtacular

Mix it up, it there is are many people that cannot make the particular time slot that has been deemed admin meeting time and date.

For more major things , heck, some sort of ingame poll would be nice, or pm message to all players to go to forum topic Y to voice your opinon.

I also agree, because all the times on the wed when the meetings take place i am in school and am unable to attend the meetings.. and the admin doesnt seem to reply my emails.. ive been waiting almost 4 weeks now but no reply.. i understand he is busy.. but still.. atleast mix up the meetings so taht i can attend while not in school..

How about 4 small favors?

1. Jason, simple visit forums once and a while and see whats going on. Talk, be merry, its not that bad a place.

2. Jason, please do offer some variance to the meeting times as there are people who just cant get out of bed at 2 am, or 3:30 am, or be here when their shift at work starts, etc, etc,

3. During the admin meetings, PLEASE take out the trash. All trash. Everyone's trash. You can look at the logs and see miles and miles of complete trash, spam, and BS. Those few minutes are precious and anyone who doesn't treat them that way and act in an appropriate manner needs to be booted from the convo.

4. Just simply explain your actions once and awhile. Try and let us know what your thinking is and your reasoning behind some of the things you do. Would go along way to help peoples attitudes toward you if they understood you a bit better.

Some people have great ideas and some have terrible ones In my opinion the terrible ones are a bit up on the good ideas.

Lore these are all good but Im still not heard . If Jason does change the times here and there and Im not able to make one if Jason is contemplating an idea send a pm out somehow and get the opinion of the many not the few.

Im not saying there is anything wrong with him. I personally need him to listen to the GAME. just not who can make the time he proposes and thinks that everyone wants the same thing.

If I need to make a point at one of the meetings (and I can generally never make them as a rule either) then I make sure that someone who is attending raises it on my behalf.

I know that's not a solution which solves any of the long run problems with the game, or the lack of communication between the admin and the players, but it is a bit a band-aid to those players whose schedules prevent them from frequenting the IRC chat.

I would like to bring up another point:

Not every computer or internet connection can support IRC. Is there any way Admin could see fit to maybe post the results of each weekly meeting, so that the rest of us peons might actually find out whats been decided for us?? It's one thing to slog through the whole log in the other thread, but...eh...sometimes it would be really nice to just have the actual decisions listed, or at least, color highlight the important lines??

Totally agree Kill, being an Aussie also I’m in this boat too….

Don’t know if this has been tried but perhaps just a topic where a list of questions is posted up by everyone and Admin can go through once a week or something and address these issues. Or someone could Mod this thread and bring the issues up on the chat themselves….

Also there seems to be less and less communication about changes/proposed changes to the game then there used to be, but somehow people get wind of them, maybe from the admin chats but nothing that I’ve ever seen.

I tried to find a topic the other day where the Admin chat logs were going to be posted after each meeting, do these topics still exist or did they die???

Yes, and every time I click it, it shuts my comp down and I have to usually do a force-restart. If I go down the street to the library, those machines simply refuse to allow it to connect. It has something to do with the internet providers around here, not my (relatively) newer comp.... and libraries are notorious for blocking anything that even remotely acts like an IM program....

I point this out, because, while IRC is great for a lot of people, there are still alot of us who have always had connection issues with it, no matter what computer we try to connect from, especially for those of us who live in the northwestern states of the US, or rural mid-western states. Dial up will not allow IRC to run, nor will cable/DSL connections that run off of older company lines/equipment.

I "sometimes" can get the Chat to initiate...but then...about 5 minutes in, it will lock up my comp. I just reformatted, and updated all the drivers and service packs, and applets, and the gods-know-what-all, and it still hates irc. I went next door, to my neighbors, and used her Alienware comp, still smelling like Shipping Box, its that new, and STILL no dice. I use Clearwire sattelite connect, she uses Charter High Speed Internet.

I only say this to point out that for some players, this forum IS the only game communication we have access to. To be shut out of game decisions because, "haha, oh well, yer comp/connection suxorz, lozer" is kinda discouraging, ya know?
