hit someone and be prepared for them to react to that hit in any manner they so desire. if they want to call you a vulture, thats how they see it.
im of the mind that when you hit people they can react anyway they want to it up to and including massing you, your officers, your CO your alliance mates, stealing your planets, your officers planets, your CO's planets, your alliance mates planets...descending you...you get the idea.
i pick punishments at random and dish them out to people who hit me. i even choose the time, thats the msot fun of all, hitting back on my time and schedule, not yours.
just another reason why sometimes its just not worth that 20 bil naq hit. move on to the next guy who doesnt care if you take his resources.

Re: Vultures?
if someone is in a war and constantly maintains zero defense, they have LOST the war and are a farm. There is no excuse for not rebuilding at least a token defense.
Also, people who get farmed normally, then whine when it happens during war are farms, same rule applies, rebuild some defense or shut up.
I've got 14 pages of farms, 95% have zero defense, if they don't want to lose troops then they don't need to fill up my inbox with complaints, everyone has 4 days potential PPT when they can keep their income, if they don't want to keep it for the other 3 days then i'll happily take it off their hands.
Bottom line is you should respect your enemies in a war and maintain at least some defense, days on end without any defense means you've lost, plain and simple, you are NOT in war, you are a POW being used as slave labour to make naq for me to steal, so get used to it!

I tend to agree with you - if someone hits you, you are entitled to react in whatever manner you choose, whether in a war or not - but the call of 'vulture' and 'my alliance will get you' has long since became the cry of the coward, who cannot fight his or her own battles.
As I said previously, these people would gain more respect and 'fear factor' by simply taking the names of these alleged 'vultures' and hitting them back themselves.

Re: Vultures?
The whole vulture thing is ridiculous. I've been hit by people outside TJP and FUALL during this war and I've either ignored it or hit back depending on how often they hit me. Calling someone a vulture doesn't really mean anything. Removing their MS, Def, Intel, and strike now that lets people know you don't like them attacking you. As for the example given to start this thread, just hilarious because if I attacked someone and they attacked back the once it would bother me at all as turn about is fair play. If they kept attacking me though then a different scenario would play out.

i can see that point. i USE to call people vultures but now i just put them on a list of people to deal with on my own time when i get bored. though i usually dont wait too long lately.
