Global Mods: Severian (USA), Auriel (euro), Buck (euro), Psi (USA), Nuto Vixen (aussie) and Wolf359 (misc time zone).

General area mods: Mordack, Major lee hurts, Pianomutt, Spacey and the rook.

Mods suggestions for other areas: Jenny and maybe FS.

Race mods: Any noobies wanting to practise for the job, as the race sections are not that busy.

market mods: Nightmare (he seems to be running a tight ship..:P) and Lord Nequal (cant spell the name correctly).

Misc mods: Jack and Corran Horn.

I think all fo the above would make an excellent modding team.

Agreed on this, but apparently Severian is from Australia...so it means, either two mods for USA (then Euro needs one more too) or only one for each place, and then someone has to be changed and replaced on the list.
Well Semper and Ra are already mods for SL section, so I guess no need for a "newbie" there, for other races, well Starry as ancient mod (if she's still around), Phoenix of Terra as tollan mod, and I think no turn over is done for Replis mods so they can keep their places.

ahahaaahahahahahahahahaha.

yeah thanks buddy for that good laugh

well considering those comments are coming from two of the most useless mods ive ever seen on the forums, I dont think any problems have arisen so far.

But if you two are so good, dont hold back, lets hear it, we all actually might really need a laugh, the usual sort given from Apademeks logic at least.

Re: do we need an overhaul of the mods?

I agree about Sev, Auriel and Buck getting high mod positions, they are very good posters, have a good knowledge of forums and people, they would make perfect global mods to me.
I think Lore should keep his position, he's good mod in suggestions forums (dont know if he mods other sections), Wolf is competent too, and been already global mod, so I think he would do good indeed as global mod again.
As for Nuto and Psi I don't really know, not much opinion about it. Psi used to be admin as I recall, Nuto being Tauri mod and ex market mod. How about Agapooka getting a mod position? He's very good poster and has a good sense of humour, he has been a long time user, even been admin in past.
Spacey is no longer around, even though he was a good mod, and would deserve to have general to mod indeed.
Mordack and TheRook look to be good mods for GC, as would MLH and Pianomutt, and in extension, other general sections.
But I think there should be a seperate mod for newbs/FAQ and new people sub sections, as it's slighty different than others.
I think chaos mods are doing well, and no idea if there are Quantum mods.
Race mods (if current ones get promoted I guess they should not be able to mod these forums?)
Ancients: Starry (already one) and someone else
Tollans: Phoenix of Terra and someone else
NanoTiMasters: current ones.
System Lords: current ones.
Agreed for market mods.

3. She is doing a stellar job as a race mod. My assumptions a few months ago were incorrect. I wont start another mod bashing if her name is changed to blue ;)

Thanks, I really appreciate that. :D
As for the hypothetical global mod deal, I think you're right.. it's quite a big deal, and it'd be stupid to promote someone without a certain degree of excellence. ;)

 @ Semper btw.. you're really taking it out on 'em, aren't you? :P Subtlety is also a virtue.. and just as deadly.

There can't be proper elections for this, unfortunately, so better it doesn't happen.
Mods as of now are fine afterall...so no need to do it! :-)

Having a community like this moderate itself with its peers is a challenge for both moderators and users. There will undoubtedly be ties, tensions and differences.
As moderators cycle through with there own styles and personalities it is up to us as a community, including the mods to reach beyond any personal boundaries, challenge ourself to learn and to accept , and to communicate at a higher level as we all obviously cherish this aspect of the game.

As we police ourselves we must retain and respect the nature of this forum and its users and make this a safe and enjoyable environment for veterans, new comers, mods and future mods alike.

pianomutt20000 wrote:This time period has been particularly challenging. I voted no, because I don't feel that there is an issue really. People just need to grow up, act like adults, and understand that the mods are doing their best.

Just because they are a mod, doesn't mean that they aren't human as well. Once you understand that, you won't have much of a problem.

Re: do we need an overhaul of the mods?

Semper proposed a hypothetical scenario (namely one of utter anarchy and chaos) where his solution would be to revise the mod team altogether. With that, I agree.
I just don't think we're that far gone yet.. but sure, perhaps it might inspire certain members of the team to yet more greatness if their job was on the line. ;)

Wes and I had an evaluation of my functioning, and it's my understanding that happened with all (race-)mods. I wonder, do Baszy and Smooshable (or just Smooshable, for all I know) conduct job evaluations? Or are mods, from the moment they are accepted in their position, free from revision except when faced with a severe incident? :)

The reason why I ask this, is because Apadamek! quoted my words;
Rev. Auriel Daniels wrote:I voted "no", because I was told there's a rotational cycle already. Of course, at any given time, there are people who are actually not very happy with certain mods. That rotational cycle should make sure they're rotated out.. since that is - to my knowledge anyway - already a standard, why go about and call for a change now.
Hence my own no.

Given such a system, my question is sufficiently answered, and I am totally satisfied with how things are run. However, if I were to find out that such a system is not at all in place, by my own words, my 'no' turns into a 'yes'.
See how tricky it is to quote me on that, Appy. ;)
No insult or offence intended to any particular person who might feel thusly reproached. I merely take my stand..

thats correct...

if the user chooses to raise it as a greivance they can contact the mod in question or another mod or even the ombudsman to look into it :)

edit

I'll repeat mordack in saying its flattering to be on the "dream team"
and Legendary Apophis pointed out I'd be good as a GC mod which is quite entertaining as I'm hideously biased towards Radical Minority :)
