With the MS update, new ppl can catch up quick. But the power vacuum still exist in the fact that at trillions /1K for weaps/shields the small guys are maxed out. And the ppl making 2 tril/turn are still in control. I mean I'm 36mil army size and I barely hold 1.4tril. The MS update does nothing except, as stated before me, build numerous ms's of the same power and the strong stay strong. I've attacked/massed ppl who's ms already double their defense. With this update the upper 10& basically have to build there insane MS [they have naq production to afford it] And not even build a real troop defense any more. A typical token defense would due. As attackers would lose 4-1, making attacks worthless.

The planet update is even more ridiculous in that fact that it does make holding on to planets harder. It also makes them essentially worthless. For smaller ppl planets can be a great help. And for bigger it's a part of how they maintain their dominance. We all know that holding on to planets, especially during war is a prayer at best. But at least now you have a small chance. With a decreasing defense system in place it's a complete lost cause for someone my size. I barely have the resources to keep up with the big guns now, I'd never be able to keep raiding/massing/repairing AND replacing def on my deteriorating planets. Basically planets could be removed from the game. While those who make the big naq would still be able to keep up for a good while.

These 2 updates seem to benefit a handful of people, those it's meant to hurt. And hurts those it's meant to help.

How about an update such a 2% bonus to raiding units of the same race as you are. This helps everyone, with no help for those on top being as they can no longer raid.

How about penalties for attacking a certain power % below you.

Or maybe a lower threshold for retreating from corporal plane for accounts below a certain level. To help protect them from larger accounts.

How about an auto ppt for an account that takes a certain % of damage based on the accounts size.

These are just a few suggestions that will help to make a level playing field. They benefit those who need it,and help to hinder those who are " untouchable ". Unlike some updates I've seen.

Admittedly I didn't play beta. And am going on the details relayed to me. The MS I might have a few facts screwed up, but as for the planets update where do you see flaws? Please elaborate?

all the MS does is nearly set you back at square one with your MS, everyone is going to have to overhaul their MS. noobs will be in somewhat competition with everyone else but it the ppl on top will still be on top because they have more naq to throw around than the rest so all it does is gives noobs a fighting chance and i dont really care if i lose all my MS stuff cuz i can just as easily increase mine to their level if not higher. i say bring it on becuz then the veterans here have to start working hard again to maintain their spot and noobs will also have to work hard in order to keep up, it just adds more competition.

Ok setting ms back to square one is great, but they still have better naq prod. so it levels it out for .... a day? If I'm misunderstanding something about this update tell me. As I understand it we get set back to square 1. OK I'm a little hurt by losing 20K of each fleets/shields/weaps, and I know there are MUCH bigger MS's. But with your naq prod you'll have np getting back to a dominant status. it's a temp set back at best.

Never said small players had dominance. I said " for the bigger " meaning the bigger guys. I know planets should be hard to hold on to. I agree. But at the same time i was pushing 40bil def[ that's expensive for my size] on a planet and it was still taken NP. It's just easier to take them now. and it's still hardest on the smaller players. I'm not complaining about what I can hold on to. I'm thinking of ppl like my officers who have played like 10 day, and get massed by someone 80mil+ army size. It can be very disheartening to have this happen to you at that size. And when I say massed I mean planets too. How do you keep smaller players playing, if they have NO CHANCE to catch up. Everyone's convienently forgetting that naq production is usually directly proportional to size. And you can set back whatever you want back to square one, but unless it's everyone's whole accounts the bigger will still have the advantage. and they should, to an extent!

I think this update comes back to the educators! Yes I said it. Educating the small while have a quick laugh look at the noob. You can basically ruin a persons account within secs just because he hasn't trained them wrong.
You want someone to blame blame the so called educators . Admin has to do something to help the new guys in the game. New players = new money. So admin has to protect the new guys.

When we tried to help admin to make some updates for the game to be better or redo some updates which were bad, then admin NEVER listened to us (ascended upate etc...)

its just what is right in his opinion .... and he is convinced taht game will be better this way, it aint fair to us,

but i dont see him making changes to his update,

maybe to change the values but certainly the update that MSs will be cheaper is comming no matter what.

i hope admin reads this, but i aint very sure - the best thing is to come to iRC meeting and direct him to the most interesting posts.

would be fair to give back ppl their MS+fleets invest, but those ppl are generaly big while he's trying to help smaller and i really see j doing that

Fact is this update will not harm all big players or harm only big players. It comes down to where you have invested the highest proportion of your income ( Farming and Natural ).

If you invested in RAW UP, you're safe for now, if you invested in high covert/AC levels, you're safe for now, if like me and many others you have invested most of your Naq ( With all the time, effort & risk of heavy farming ) in MS then you're getting screwed.

As for the question of helping new players for their cash, I like, most have bought SS and blackmarket ATs from time to time BUT if an update comes out devaluing my account massively I will not spend another £ because it could all be for nothing when the next update comes out and screws me again.

Also just to say, I do understand the need for new players and want to see the game grow, but dont understand the need for all these upgrades making things easy for noobs, we all had to learn the hard way and grow up in the same universe as the giants. If the noobs of today cant build through high activity and time served then they dont deserve to be the great players of the future.

Well i like the Platforms and the MS.

But i also love the new Alliance stuff and ranking stuff.

If people would notice a alliance leader or 2ic can now set a alliance to hostile or friendly.

That way if he does it show when you raid in bright yellow if your alliance friendly or in red if your hostile.

You now also get the ability by looking on one alliance member to set the entire alliance to war, neutral or peace about time.

You can also give strange titles on the alliance page not sure about that but meh.

But the war thing looks cool also so thats also good updates.

All in all i dont complaine about any in this update some needed some new and good. But i do also like to see some Ascended updates soon.
